The problem with Amini is that he can't block stunts and delayed blitzes. He is almost guaranteed to give up QB sacks and pressure because every team in the league knows his obvious pass blocking weaknesses. That's why he lost his starting spot imo.

I had a feeling Kalil was going to play because Gross said that he told him he was going to play. Thank goodness Kalil is tough as nails.

We're actually lucky that the field was sloppy because the Colts were targeting Amini with stunts and he was having problems as usual but it didn't work as well due to the slop.

I don't know how many of you realize how important that Kalil is to our team. If given the choice between:

1) Our current situation

Or

2) KB magically becomes healthy and ready to suit up for Sunday, but Kalil goes down for the rest of the year

I'd chose #1 any day of the week.

We never put him at Center without practicing there first.  We spent much of TC giving him reps at C so we could play him there.  NOBODY plays a player at a position they haven't ever practiced unless it's a dire emergency (I.e. every single person who has played or practiced there is hurt and unable to play).  And believing in any way that you can simply just drop an offensive lineman in any spot on the OL, regardless of ever playing or practicing extensively there, is simply being ignorant of OL responsibilities and skillsets (I mean that in terms of the actual definition of ignorant, not as an insult).
