Wait, weren't they a sponsor of the Igo's podcast last season? Is that the place that advertise that moonshine slushy? I swear I remember hearing claims that the owner was a diehard panther fan

Could be. The guy who owns Angry Ale's also owns Brazwell's. I think he's double dipping.

Could be. He did years ago. Owned Brazwells, Andrew Blairs and Angry Ales. I worked at Blairs.

Brazwell's has always been owned by the Bottle Cap Group. Those are the owners of AAP, Whiskey Warehouse, Slate, etc...

Andy only owned Angry's and AB's. Can't seem to make anything work in the AB space.

Just a word of court for those of us that are outside of NC. Deals like this is how we riot members can have our "own" bar outside of the Carolinas. I had to convince a Ravens bar here in Baltimore to be a Panthers bar. They aren't a full fledged Panthers bar yet but if they thought they would lose money supporting us, we would have a hard time. So I get the sentiment but it's a dual edged sword is all I'm saying.

That's Baltimore.  I dont mind wearing hypocrisy like a badge of honor.  That bar sounds awesome and I hope they thrive there in Baltimore.  This Angry Ales place sounds like a shithole and should not be allowed to survive in the city of Charlotte.

I go back and forth on this. First reaction is to get pissed. Second is basically everything that Mooorgan said.

Ultimately I think what SCP said about having to relentlessly hear that commercial on the radio is what makes a difference. That's a lot of $ spent on advertising to tell Panthers fans you're a Packers bar.

Meh.  I find it better to follow the advice of Erlich from Silicon Valley

“Until then, we need to do what any animal in nature does when it’s cornered—act erratically and blindly lash out at everything around us.”

Exactly! Being a Packer bar Is one thing. But blabbing about It on the radio Is fugging obnoxious

They talk about it on the radio to increase their customer base.

Lol. No hatred for the radio station that broadcast this atrocity?

Businesses are in business to make money. That's how it works. I have ads for Carolina Sports Medicine, Carolina Ale House, Tylenol, and NFL Sunday Ticket loading as I wait to post this. I ain't hatin'. That's how it works.

Angry Ales on Montford advertises on local CLT radio and calls their joint the official Packers bar in CLT.  I hope every Panther fan takes note and chooses to go elsewhere this week.  Change the culture.

Aren't we missing a huge opportunity here?  Fug Ale's, how about we blow their spot up in Blue and Black?  Well within their rights to support the pack, well within ours to take that poo over.  keep em quiet and Keep Pounding.

I think the point being made here is not that they are a Packer's bar but the fact that they advertise it and make it a point they are loyal to the Packers.

They get 17 Sunday's out of the year for their loyalty to GB.  The other 348 days I guess they better figure out on how to get Panther fans out there.

It's bad enough that the heart of the Carolinas are still infiltrated with different teams fans.  But IMO to be in the home town of a franchise and blatantly show your loyalty to another fan base is dead wrong.

Boycott and close the MF.
