In reading a Packers - Panthers game preview article, the issue of drops was brought up, including PFF stats for dropped passes for Ginn & Funchess:

PFF has charted him [Ginn] with six drops this season, tied for third most in the league with Devin Funchess, among others.

[For the record: Sporting Charts has Ginn with 7 drops and Funchess with only 2.]

Anyway, if Funchess did indeed have 6 drops on 21 targets, that would be a 28.6% drop rate of ALL targets.

If Ginn has 6 drops on 47 targets, his drop % is 12.8% of ALL targets.

Not all "targets" are in fact deemed "catchable balls" however, so apparently that is how PFF comes up with drop rates of something like 23% for Ginn and 46% for Funchess.
