Terrell Davis says Cam is no MVP

Cam has been great and what he has been doing with nothing has been incredible. But until his receivers start catching, its killing his stats. If ted and philly and funch catches the ball he would be definitely in the talks with brady. So do we say he isnt a MVP because his receivers havent been producing although the passes have been there. I dont think so. I think he has been the most accurate this year than he has ever been.

It just so happens that the best known restaurant in Charlotte is a fried chicken place. That's all I was going for. If we were in Wilmington, I'm sure I'd be comparing Cam to a seafood place. If I was speaking live on ESPN, I wouldn't make this analogy just to be safe, but I assume you guys can see the comparison I was trying to make. If you want, you can sub Price's Chicken Coop for Mac's Speed Shop (Charlotte barbecue).

This is assuming you're not trolling just to make me mad. :(

First of all, I'm not a troll.

I just wanted to let you know that comparing Cam or any other African American to fried chicken isn't cool.

I don't care that the best known restaurant in Charlotte is a fried chicken place. It was just a bad analogy.

I'm not trying to argue with you and I hope you don't feel that I am. I'm just telling it like it is.

With Norman out, how many wins turn to losses?

Now answer the same question with Newton out.

You're funny.

Why do so many wins turn to losses without Newton? The offense isn't doing much anyway. Norman has taken away an entire half of the field and then some, because when they do throw his way he gives it back to the offense or scores himself.

You don't win as many games without Norman and that dominant defense.

Fair enough. I deleted it.

CAR- 7-0 w/l
N.O.- 4-4 w/l

CAR- #4 scoring offense
N.O.- #6 scoring offense

Cam- 15 TD, 10 Tov
Brees- 15 TD, 8 Tov

Lol. Yes. Just, yes.

W/l is more than offense.

Brees has less turnovers, in one less game.

But let's dive into the statistics, shall we?

NO is 6th in scoring with no defensive TDs and they're 2nd in YPG.

Carolina is 4th in scoring with 3 defensive TDs and they're 19th in YPG.

The Saints are 5th in yards per drive and 8th in points per drive.

The Panthers are 26th in yards per drive and 10th in points per drive.

So you're saying, well damn, the Panthers don't move the ball. How do they score? They are 3rd in average starting field position. The defense routinely puts them in position to score without having to move the ball.

Take this weekend for example. The Panthers had 4 drives that started inside of the opponents 40. They got 16 points off of those drives. They had 12 drives outside of the opponents 40. They got 13 points on those drives.

Obviously, there's times when the offense moves the ball without the help of the defense, but those times are few and far between, as their yards per drive indicates.

There is not a single person outside of Carolina that would consider the Panthers offense elite, or better than the Saints.

Its ok TD its not Cams fault your knee couldn't hold up after three good seasons.    Don't worry TD after Cam retires he will let you do his induction speech into the hall.   And stats are for losers look at Brady fuger throws a 3 yard slant and he gets credit for the 80 yard run the receiver pulls off.

Which parts of this ranting will be relevant when Cam wins his 3rd straight NFC South title and is marching towards the Super Bowl and Brees is sitting at home with his 2nd straight losing record and missed playoffs?

PS...

Brees' stats are insanely inflated, half his total production this season has came in 1 game.

PS...

Carolina scores more than ya boy Brees.

Deal with it.

So, basically, deflect, and then ignore everything laid out because it doesn't fit what you want to hear.

Also, inflated? Because of a game? Come on guy.

Opinions are like ? And everyone has one, so here's mine. "I think that Cam not only deserves to be in the conversation of MVP but he deserves to be the MVP. The same people that's saying he doesn't even deserve to be in the discussion are the same people that were saying that he's done, this team had a shot with KB, that he can't do it without his starting WR, that he's matured some but he still isn't ready to carry the team on his own and so forth. But here we stand...7-0"

Was watching the NFL Network yesterday and Davis and Co were talking about Cam and what he has done this season. Davis immediately starts talking about Cam's accuracy, how horrible his QBR is and his turnovers... said he shouldn't even be in the discussion for MVP.

Oh yeh, here's another first in NFL history for Cam... first qb to lead a team to 7-0 while throwing a td and running for at least 20 yards in every game.

Coming from a running back that happened to play for a team that everyone allowed to chop block the hell out of everyone and for one of the best run schemers ever in football and for one of the top 5 GOAT throwers.

He was no MVP either,.... Fugger

Saints have at least 2 ST scores and I only recall the panthers having 2 def scores.

Look, stats are great for guys who like football because fantasy football brought you to it. Real football fans love to see their team win, stats aside. I recall your fans in 08 finishing .500 and still cheering Brees with a pass record. Cam does exactly what the team needs which is carry the offense as a runner and passer. The entire offense runs through him, as much as any QB in the league. Panthers get a lead and grind out the win instead of chucking the ball all over the place. Can has never complained about the punishment the team asks from him and puts his body on the line every week.

Golly, I can't believe the saints are at .500, lost to Buccs at home with Brees playing and with all those amazing stats you listed. The good ole days when it was just about the wins, now you fantasy nerds pussified the game with all your stats. Here's to the end of the Brees era, enjoy the ride into the mediocre sunset.
