I felt bad for the people below the "protestors" that were in danger and for the fact they had their joyous evening(how bout them 7-0 Panthers!) interrupted, but overall i felt the whole stunt was pretty damn amusing.

They weren't really protesting anything. They were just trying to make a quick dollar for their website, like any good capitalist. I cant fault them for wanting to bring a little revenue into their site. But they accomplished nothing. They were hoping enough ppl on MNF(which is why they pulled their money grabbing stunt then and not against say, Houston) would see their banner, head to their website and donate a few bucks. Problem is, MNF didnt show the damn banner. Mike Tirico made a comment on who they were, but didnt link their website. The people in the stadium were more than likely just annoyed with the group(or couldnt even read the banner), im sure the people rudely displaced absolutely were and now that we know who they were and what they stand for, still no one cares. This thread being a perfect example of it. You've got 2 or 3 idiots supporting their "cause" and the rest are all talking about how annoying it was to have the focus on their Panthers on MNF removed for a period. This group spent this money on the gear and the tickets and literally got nothing out of it other than an arrest. I mean c'mon, I cant be the only one who finds that funny as hell?

This was a page from the Green Peace protests I just happened to randomly run in to in Portland this August. I used to despise such things and now they make me realize there is hope in the world but not much.

Sure... protest, make your cause known, yell it from rooftops, climb a mountain and hang off the side, and believe in it with all your heart, but when you put others in danger making your point, that's where the line is drawn.

 

Also i wonder,  what if these idiots were protesting idk, abortion, for a religion, or for generally something that YOU don't agree with, would you still support their protest?

When you think about the actions of these eco nuts, BoA really deserves some praise for being courageous enough to sponsor a football stadium IMO

maybe we can rename our team the "Bank of America Panthers" and some of that courage might rub off on our team.

Hmm, I was sure it was an inside job. Like others have said, now due to the idiots getting into the game with that gear, security is going to be even more annoying to deal with. Awesome job.

The answer to that is a resounding no and if he tells you otherwise, he's full of s**t. The people that do this type of stuff only care about their cause and they are absolutely the first group to try and stifle your cause.

Why does RRC2 keep wanting to be called Wells Fargo Stadium? There is many other banks out there. How about Navy Federal Credit Union Stadium? Or USAA Stadium? Wachovia Stadium? State Employees Credit Union Stadium?

It's not a big mystery that I'm going to agree with tactics of people I agree with philosophy. That is generally how the world works. I just don't find football to be the sacred environment others do.

They were dangling over a group of people and for ANYONE who climbs, it was clear these people weren't very skilled in it. That was the danger. Why do you think security moved everyone, it was for safety. They didnt want some fan going up to those individuals ropes and unhooking them nor did they want something to go wrong while fans were beneath them. Not a hard concept to grasp, like at all.
