We need to trade for some WRs

Alshon would be a great fit...

I joked with the resident Bears fan up here at work, back when we traded for Allen, that we would send Chicago a box of Bojangles biscuits for Alshon while we were at it.

Make it happen, G-Man.

Pantherclaw, I like your posts and respect your opinion but we will simply have to disagree on this one.  I feel like the biggest weakness on our team is WR and in a dream scenario, it should be our biggest priority for immediate success this season.

I hate it when people post random stats like "27 points per game"...... That has nothing to do with where we rank in passing, or even more importantly, where we rank in passing to our WRs.  Sheesh....

Anyway, you're right....it isn't happening and I don't want to argue this point anyway.

Our passing attack is in the upper half of the league last it was posted here on the huddle.

Can we use another receiver? Sure.  I won't deny that. I also won't deny how this team is winning. We're not going to trade for a rental at receiver. Our franchise (DG & Rivera) like what we have. It sucks that we are missing KB, but he'll be back. Funchess will develop. Ginn and Brown are great compliments to those guys.

Our offense will not change this season, regardless our any dream come true.

Knowing rhe way we are winning, we need more pass rushers more than a receiver. That isn't a luxury. A rotation is a must to keep the guys fresh.

I'm not arguing. No reason to. I'm ready for a beer, you want one?

Completely disagree.

If there is a trade to be made, we need a pass rusher.

We get CJ back in 3 weeks.  We also our missing another DE and DT that should be back soon.  Get them back and rotation is strong again.   DL would be fine for a postseason run.

There is no real silver lining to the WR corp.   A freaking Ted Ginn injury is huge.  Drop off after him is pretty big.  Scary for a team to be in that spot.  For the impact of Ginn not being able to suit up being that big.

I sure hope we stay healthy for our december run. Sure is a long ways away.

We could use better depth at guard more than a receiver.

Silver lining? Lol

Pretty sure another receiver isn't going to change how our offense is playing.

I don't think bringing in someone would change anything.  I think it could help us maintain a semi functional pass O if we start getting WRs banged up.

I mean that is true at all positions I guess.  The more watch the more of a gap I see overall between Ginn and the rest.

Nothing gonna happen at this point.  Maybe someone will be forced into a role and we get surprised.  Happens.   I think we still need someone else to step up and bring a little more to us as we go along.
