Our Super Bowl window is officially here in 2015. Time to trade for Calvin Johnson.

I think 2 things are abundantly clear after tonight's game:

1. This is probably the best Panthers team ever and the closest we've been to a Super Bowl since 2003. We can absolutely make a deep playoff run.

2. However, we're not good enough to win a Super Bowl with the roster as it is right now. You saw it when Ted Ginn dropped that game winning touchdown pass. He's our best receiver. I don't care if we get Kalil back, Norwell back, Shaq back, CJ back....you CANNOT string enough victories in the playoffs to win a ring with Ted Ginn as your wide receiver. Gettleman has rolled the dice once already with Jared Allen. If the Lions are truly ready to deal Calvin Johnson, we would be fools to pass him up. Gettleman has taken our mess of a chessboard and maneuvered us into a check. Dealing for Calvin Johnson puts the rest of the league in checkmate. I don't know what his contract situation is for 2016, all I know is that Calvin Johnson puts us in position to win a Super Bowl THIS YEAR. Ask the New York Mets or the Cincinnati Bengals or Philadelphia Eagles how rare that is. Or hey, how about asking Panthers fans that have watched all 20+ seasons of Carolina football how rare that is. Don't pass up this opportunity.

Honestly I'd try to make something happen....either OL or WR or both....

I mean we are going to be picking late 25+ again soo....man it's a tough call when you know you have a team that can actually go all the way.

Oline is fine. Dline is where we can use help. Yes, we have 3 guys injured right now but we need more depth in pass rushers. Even with CJ, Dwan, and Mario coming back, we could still use some help there. Also just to keep Allen fresh for the postseason. WR is almost a must have at this point. I just don't see how we can't do anything. Your TE can't be your only receiver. I don't think it's Gettleman's style to try to make major trades but I'm sure he is weighing his options and trying to help this team win the super bowl.

I understand the want for a wr I'm just having trouble seeing the overwhelming need. We are still 7-0 putting up 27.3 points a game with the defense we have that is what is winning us games. Cam and the team can march down the field when the game is on the line. Until we fail to score points and get yards then I'll worry but when KB comes back this offense is different. We don't need to ruin our financial future for short term gain right now. Maybe next year but not right now

1. Yes we're 7-0.

2. Yes we're putting up 27.3 points a game.

3. None of that will mean anything if we need a receiver to make a tough catch on 4th and 13 against the Packers in the NFC title game or the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

I don't want to be just satisfied with an NFC title game appearance. I want to win the damn trophy for once.

Don't like the idea of trading for CJ because it fugs us long term and right now we're built to succeed in the long term. Could get on board with going for someone else, though I don't know who it would be.

If you had the choice of winning the Super Bowl this year and being cash strapped for multiple years afterwards, wouldn't winning the Super Bowl be worth it?

DG is building something special and I truly believe this team can become one of the greatest NFL franchises in league history. Hell, even sports history. Could surpass the Patriots despite their cheating. I'd rather we keep on going about business like we have with DG always thinking about the future and have success in the long run that could lead to multiple Super Bowls than to have 1 this year and then turn into the Seahawks post-Wilson contract (they could certainly still pull it together at 4-4 but you know what I mean).
