Jordan is suffering from post-idolization syndrome. He was used to being the center of attention for so long, and now people only talk about Kobe and Lebron, and it's killing him. He said in a TV interview with Wilbon that originally he didn't want to accept the honor because he felt he was being "put out to pasture." Uh, Mike? It's not all about you, bud. Seemed to me that Jordan just gave a check list of all the things that drove him to be great, and put him in the Hall of Fame.

It was more of a "this is why I'm here" thing, and a chance to sling inside jokes at everyone.

That's the way I took it anyway. Not everyone wants to just stand up there and thank the people that got them there. Or maybe he did, in his own way. It was his moment. He earned it.
