Not one but two websites TODAY say we should trade for Calvin Johnson

It's not going to happen, the logistics don't make sense.  Why are these sites not pushing Boldin?  I'm sure we can get him for a 6/7th and he's a FA after this so no money involved.  I get why they are talking about trading, they see our big need at WR, but Boldin makes way more sense and fits the toughness of this team.  I'd gladly give a 6/7 for Boldin even IF that means just a 1 season rental.

So yeah, we should make a trade for a WR, but not Megatron, and not anyone that is more than a one-year rental for more than a 6/7.  They just got the wrong WR.

Not sure about the "DG has been doing a good job through the draft" when it comes to WRs.

My post was in reference to the above line.

He drafted two WR's in the 1st/2nd rounds in back to back drafts.

I've said it before, he fits the mold of what Cam likes to throw to, but his learning curve is way off.  We run a FAR different offense than Detroit, so he would need a lot of time to learn the playbook.  Don't get me wrong, he'd be up to speed by the playoffs, but for what we'd be paying him, he damn sure better be a legit #1 receiver for us from day 1.  I'd pass just for consistency sake, and give our guys a chance to develop.

I trust in this scouting department and Gettleman... He knows what he's doing - We already have our receivers here in Funchess, Norwood, Brown. 

And our stud Thoroughbred  : Cam to make them look like superstars.
