Worry Free Football

One thing I have to confess...

On days when the Panthers don't play, its easier to watch football. Since I generally don't care about the outcome, I can just observe and enjoy the flow of the game.

Obviously, I prefer Panther games, but there's something to be said for worry free football as well.

Anyone else have similar feelings, or is it "Panthers or nothing" for you?

I watch all the games that I can and I'm like that even on the days the Panthers play(after our game)...but yea it's good to watch some games that you don't really care about just watching it for the love of the game.

When it's the Panthers every little thing matters, every play call, every penalty, etc. I tend to watch and call the other games a bit more rationally...Panther games are always high on emotion for us here.

RedZone Sunday when the Panthers aren't playing is awesome. Don't have to worry about a damn thing.

I'll grant that the rewards aren't as great.

After an enjoyable game I can say "well, that was fun". After a Panthers win though, despite (or maybe because of) all the stress, I'm on cloud nine.

But when we lose...ouch.

When there's nothing to lose, there's also not much to gain.

When the Panthers play on MNF, TNF, or SNF, I normally try to work those days so I can have off on the days we play the 1:00 games.

Such as now.

However, those games make the days before we play seem unbearably long.

If it's not a panthers game, I won't go out of my way to watch it but I still enjoy football if it happens to be on.

Worry free? Sorta. But I'm also not paying close attention.

I think this might be the first season we will have worry free football the last couple games in December instead of being on edge worrying if we make the playoffs or not

Pretty sure there is no Double OT during the regular season.

it would end in a tie after the 1st overtime

Quite right.  If still tied at the end of the 1st OT period during the regular season, it's a tie.  Recent example:  Panthers v Bengals, 2014.
