We won't be drafting high enough.  Not to mention high school and college offenses are breeding a different caliber of LT these days.  RISKY

Good players are found throughout the entire draft not just top 10.

By the way, imho the LT FA market next year may actually have some studs, which would help give us leverage in a trade if GMan does entertain the idea, which I obviously hope he does.

Who? Everyone re-signed already. Unless you wanna pay Okung 10M/year to get hurt.

Just guessing here, but they would probably want a 2nd at least, and he would have to agree to a new contract before coming here.

So....I will put the chances of trading for Thomas at about .03%

Why would he have to sign a new contract?

Cap help.  We have to sign KK and Norman, in addition to Luke and Cam getting more expensive.  Add in TD's cap hit, while trying to work around Big Money's and Kalil's, and I just don't see DG taking on that kind of expense for a player over 30.

Oher is a former All-Pro and was the LT on the Super Bowl Ravens and this season he is playing fine, this would be pointless. Trade for Mega-Tron if you are making a blockbuster deal

Oher has never been an All Pro. He has not made the Pro Bowl either.

So his actual cap number for whoever he goes to would be:

2015: $4.4mil

2016: $8.3 mil

2017: $8.8 mil

2018: $8.8 mil

Not the worst ever....

Everyone talking about cap hit, well what the fug are his actual cap numbers? Took till page 4 for someone to post it.

I'd give up to a 2nd for him, hell yea.  $8-10 mil a year is outstanding for the top LT in the league.  Surely Gettleman could figure a way to keep Norman, Star and Short.  31 is middle of the career for a top LT, not the end.  Has he even ever missed a game?  No injury issues that I'm aware of, he should last well into his mid to late 30s.  Oher hasn't been Bell bad, but he's been middle of the road at best.  Getting Thomas would make our OL one that could compare to Dallas' in my opinion.

CJ's contract will obviously have to be tinkered with.  No way he's worth his cap hit.  If Allen plays well the rest of the year, he can be extended out a couple years probably to lower his cap hit.  If not, then cut him.  We have some young DEs that at least have potential to be solid starters (Alexander, Ealy, Delaire).  We can certainly survive without at least one of our two older DEs, if not both.  I don't think either at this stage are proportionately better than the three aforementioned guys than the difference in salary.  Plus there's always the draft.  Easier to find a DE these days than an OT.  JStew's contract could also be worked on, probably (in some way or another).
