I just dropped off a guy, big guy too, and he was very familiar. Couldn't place him. Then I realized, he looked like Andrew in the body of Andre the giant.

I don't know what that has to do with the neckbeard, but let's pass it off as a free association thing.

Jim Nabors is an Indiana native and local celebrity.  He was regularly invited to sing the national anthem at the Indianapolis 500 and other stuff like that.  

I lived in Indy for 4 years myself and most everything stated about it has been spot on.  The place is flat, flat, flat - not much going on or things to do but the people are very friendly and polite.   I remember when I first got there (in the summer) we went grocery shopping at the super Walmart and I was amazed at the amount of Manning/Colts gear people were wearing, especially by women and children.  That city was completely in love with Payton Manning. 

I actually went to the game when Cam and the Panthers beat the Colts in Indianapolis during the "suck for Luck" season.  I have no love for the Colts or for the neck beard, but it's hard to hate the fans.  They're a pretty diehard fan base but not at all obnoxious or rude.
