Ron deserves some love. He's done a great job in the last 3 seasons and the adversity he steered the team through last season should be seen as a huge factor in this team's character.

Anybody remember how bad his clock management skills were a couple of years ago?

I've never seen worse in professional football. That's one aspect where he's certainly improved.

There are things Rivera doesn't do well. There are also other things he does very well. And frankly, this is true of every head coach, even the best of them.

The one problem I have with this article is that it continues the narrative that the Panthers didnt deserve a playoff berth last year. Yes, we had help. But to get to the playoffs, we had to beat Atlanta. The division was theirs to take with the game being in Atlanta and all. 

We may have had the worst record of last year's playoff teams, but we earned that poo.

This speaks volumes about Ron Rivera's defensive acumen.

 In 2010 the Chargers had the top ranked defense in the league and finished in the top five of eleven different statistical defensive categories despite the fact they had no players named to the pro bowl that season.

but he is still a guy if he needs a key yard might opt out of Newton, Stewart, Tolbert or throwing to Olsen and go to a cold CAP of all people.  I mean just when you think Ron has this stuff on lock.  He gives you are little, WTF is that?
