That's all I'm saying. If we can blame Funch for not catching it, then we can put some on Cam for not delivering a better ball. One is a rookie and the other is the 100 million dollar 5 year vet. I expect Cam to make it easier for the rookie not vice versa. 

Completely agree. How does all the blame go on him? Cam should have thrown a better ball. That ball was barely catchable and would've been pretty spectacular if he caught it.

The real problem is the velocity on the throw. It came out too hot and off target. KB could've made that adjustment. Funch.... Maybe one day

I mean if you're gonna try and simplify it like that... 

Cam failed to do the most fundamental part of his job, throw something someone can catch...

Lets be honest, what was a more routine play, that catch or the pass that should've been more on target?

If Funchess makes that catch its really great grab, if Cam makes the throw its a routine throw that most NFL quarterbacks should make.

Cam is smart. He'll figure out how to best progress Funchess, if he can. Cam's played Madden for years. He's got this.

Funchess has yet to learn the NFL. Every ball can't be placed perfectly every time and you have to catch with your hands not your body. 

 

With that said he was supposed to be no more than a 4th string WR until KB went down.  Everyone and there mother were begging DG just a year ago to draft a 1st round WR and he did. Why you ask?  Because there is a big drop off from 1st to second round.

Wr job.. Catch the ball if it hits your hands... If you want to be a full time starter then you have to save your QB even on some bad throws... No QB throws perfect passes all the time...

I don't place all of the blame on Funchess on that tipped int because it wasn't a well placed pass. Although it still could've been caught, it should've been thrown better...

I mean let's not get caught on the if aspect of it, because Cam hit Devin in stride against Seattle with Richard Sherman on him and he dropped it, Thomas almost picked it off.

Every pass isn't going to be perfect.

Not every throw is going to be thrown perfectly even from guys like Rogers. Funchess frequently causes balls to go flying up in the air from his drops, making it easy picks. Its going to keep destroying Cam's turnover ratio. Colbert did same thing to Jake one year. Super frustrating.

It was catchable. Cam definitely could have thrown it alot better. A big issue Cam needs to learn is how to control the velocity on his ball and learn what speeds to throw the ball in certain situations.
