Nobody is a bigger Cam supporter here than me, but you guys are making excuses for him. Did you see the rush? He's not perfect! Blah Blah Blah I thought we were holding Cam to a higher standard these days, but I guess not. I guess Luke had nothing to do with the long td run either.

It wasn't a great pass, but it was catchable... the one Funchess caught on the sidelines versus Seattle in the 4th quarter was a MUCH harder catch...  he just didn't get his hands up fast enough...    Cam could have definitely thrown a better ball, but Funch could have come down with it...  60/40 Cam/Funch fault.  The INT was just bad luck that it bounced up like it did off his hands.

 

Funchess definitely needs to work on his hands.

IMHO the worst place to throw to a receiver with questionable hands is over the middle

if ball is tipped by WR, made worse by Newton throwing high which we all know he does, it is  most times fodder for an INT

we have been  very lucky  that funchess miss In Seattle  was not intercepted, different story for our Panthers

call plays for him that he can do,that are lower risk until he proves he is ready

to me Funchess over the middle is like calling a bubble screen to Cothchery or Bersin. Maximize the strengths  don't expose weakness'

Exactly. Not a single QB in the league throws a perfect ball every time. Most of those LaFell drops were on poorly thrown balls by Brady but do they talk about that? Nope just that Donald is trash. If it's a catchable ball, the receiver's gotta catch it. Period.

Pretty much. Manning throws ducks all the time not even spirals, very difficult balls to catch. People talk about Cam throwing hard, Favre was breaking fingers off his throws and his last years in GB all those receivers were catching them consistently
