The Funchess tip pick

Wouldn't have been a TD. There was a safety deep on the play that is just outside of the shot. Also Funchess ain't fast so he isn't out running the secondary for 60 yards.

Funchess is slow out of his break. Ball is still a little high but if he is quicker out of the break it is pretty much on target.

Then what do we talk about during the week? Steve Smith?

Least with that there are all sorts of angles to take the conversation.  In this instance cam threw a pass, funch tipped it and it was intercepted.

Nevermind ill take the "if you dont want to read it dont open it" approach and see myself out.

:-)

Smart read, but a poor throw

Rivera himself, along with multiple media contingents outside our market, felt that Funchess dropped the ball, literally and figuratively.

there's an excuse every week for why he dropped a ball.

"the ball wasnt in absolutely perfect position to be caught"

"that opposing defense is so good tho!"

"the ball was wet"

This is the NFL. The amount of times in which you are going to operate under perfectly ideal conditions is never. At some point you have stop making excuses and accept nothing less than him doing his job. He was brought here to catch exactly those kinds of passes.

I believe in him, now he needs to start performing that task routinely.

Dude...go actually watch the play.  The throw was way high and right.  Was is "possible" for Funchess to come down with it?  Possibly.  But, the throw was a terrible pass plain and simple.
