Official Hornets at Heat Thread

Kemba hurt and we cant score. Hope this isn't the trend for the rest of the season.

At this point Kemba being hurt might actually be a blessing.

Don't want to overreact to one game obviously but that's about what you can expect. Little to no resistance in transition, no protection at the rim.

Offensively it's clear one team has been together and the other is trying to break in half the roster to the team. They've shown flashes of competence but that's going to take time.

Unfortunately the schedule does them absolutely no favors this year during that chemistry building period.

First half observations:

*Horrible shot selection...   I'm thinking it's the nerves.  The team is clearly better and more talented, but they are just making some really dumbass decisions.

*Clifford is still a fuging idiot.  Rotations are ass, per usual.  I've been hard on Jefferson, but he came out on fire and then you leave him on the bench forever and a year and let the Heat's run get out of hand.

*The new faces on the broadcast side of things make my ear drums want to implode.   I mean, talk like a fuging human lol.   All that canned-announcer poo really irks me.  Also, the production side is horrible, idk how many segments they've shown now where the background music was actually the foreground music and I couldn't hear the interview.

*I was really pissed off with those back to back Winslow buckets.  Frank was absolutely the last guy I wanted with our pick but I definitely felt hyped about him after summer league and the preseason, but he looked pretty bad...   Make that, really bad defensively in the first half.  I really hope we made the right pick, being that Winslow is in our division...

I echo a previous question...what happened to Steve Martin?

Fox Sports controls the broadcasting rights and makes the call on who broadcasts our games.

They decided to replace Steve and bring Stephanie into a second analyst seat for some reason.

The Hornets picked up Martin and replaced Lauer with him, probably because he's synonymous with the organization.
