But feel free to keep taking shots at a man in print when you know you wouldn't dare in person.

If you where a real Panthers fan you would be supporting it 100% not only for one of the best player in the franchise history but also ability to boast your chance of winning the Super Bowl.

Superbowl > draft picks.

I'll kindly say, fug all that bullshit.  No point in fuging with the team chemistry that we have going on right now.  Bringing him back would change it, and you'd be in denial to think otherwise.

He's the best player in franchise history.  I loved watching him play all those years.  He can stay in Baltimore till he retires...

it's not even that. We are a tight knit group. Why would we try and fug with that with all the bad blood?

stephen a is a sensationalist. He's a clown.

Josh Norman would have been laying in a pool of blood by the end of camp last summer had Smitty been here. He is bad chemistry.

Yes we should apologize to him.  From what I read, his release was handled very unprofessionally.  All that had to be done was to call him up before the rumors came up, tell him honestly that the franchise had decided to move on, that he has been a great player, and he will likely do well wherever he ends up up and we will hate to see him on the other side. Had we done so, there wouldn't be the bad blood that exist.

No we should not trade for him.

Smith has already said if they trade him he is retiring. Also their coach said they have no intention of trading him.  So, why are people talking about this?

He may not be coming back but to use a player's and coach's public statements as proof something isn't going to happen is silly. I can't even count the number of times a coach or GM or player has said something about a personnel move that later turned out to be completely false.

It is a shame that we're 6-0 and Smitty's not here to enjoy the franchise record start after the horrible years he endured here. I also feel bad that he won't be here to hoist that Lombardi later in the year.

Having said that, I firmly believe that we wouldn't be 6-0 with Smitty here. I love the guy, and he'll go down as one of the best Panthers of all time, and he would be an upgrade at WR but it's not gonna happen.

Woukd it be a textbook storybook ending for him? Sure, but it's not gonna happen folks.
