If Pagano is told he needs to win to keep his job, I'm sure he'd start Hasselbeck to do so. Luck is too much of an investment that's why they're getting rid of the coach instead.

Pagano is getting dumped because his GM hates him. Plus he gave him a wide open window to do so when he ran that hysterically bad punt play against the Pats and blew the game.

His GM is likely also getting dumped because he stinks at his job. And if the people of Indy had their way, the owner would probably get run out of town too but that's not likely to happen.

Luck will have a new coach (maybe Payton) and new GM next season. Will they be better? Don't know. Probably depends on whether Irsay is sober when he hires them. Pagano will likely wind up  a DC somewhere else.
