Am I the only person not buying it the media narrative du jour that Greg Hardy is the worst person who ever walked the earth?  This guy served a 25 game suspension for a domestic violence incident that got dismissed.  Is the guy a dick?  Probably.  But you have people like Brandon Marshall who have had 6 different domestic violence issues in his career and nobody seems to care.  (I guess if you get a doctor to say that you have a mental illness that shields you from criticism).  Brandon Marshall has only served a ONE game suspension for a violation of the personal conduct policy.  I hate to sound like a Greg Hardy defender, but the media need to stop killing this guy.

Yeah, I severely dislike Brandon Marshall. I think he's a very "holier-than-thou" football player, and has gotten a poo ton of free passes because of borderline personality disorder. The fact that the NFL keeps pushing him in our face (especially on that god awful Inside the NFL) shows that they have no idea how fuged their perspective is.

But, seriously, I also think Greg Hardy is a major problem. Yeah, the Exempt List thing is bullshit. Yeah, he got over-punished. But, he's shown time and time again than he also has some serious problems. Yesterday was just the tip of the iceberg.

Brandon Marshall also said on Inside the NFL that Tom Brady got off on Deflategate because he was white.  Meanwhile he's only been suspended 1 game after 6 domestic violence incidents.  He's lucky he's still in the league.

just the media painting hardy as a villain, common misconception. outside fans of football just hear about his domestic charge and him arguing with coaches and immediately begin to judge him, but what the media constantly neglects to tell the FULL story, no one bothers to mention Hardy's case being dismissed or the fact that owner, head coach and players all had his back following his altercation with the ST coach.

 

He never did it here and does it one time in 5 seasons now he's all of a sudden the bad guy, not buying into the media bs

      I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.

      Did I miss something?  The people we have developing players now are not the ones we've had in the past so I don't know what the heck people are talking about when they say we are not good at developing players right now.  We only have one year to go on.  Canales likes young players or players who are on an upward trajectory, especially in FA this year.  Past QB's and what he's done with Bryce are good examples. Tershawn Wharton - 26 Tre'von Moehrig - 25 Pat Jones II - 26 Bobby Brown III - 24 Michael Jackson - 28 Jaycee Horn - 25 Tommy Tremble - 24 We missed on Milton Williams but he's 26. Everyone else we picked up are on 1 year deals.  The Panthers new front office and Canales absolutely scream developmental team. Pick 8 (stay) Tier 1 Elite - Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter and Mason Graham Tier 2 Elite - Jalon Walker, Mykel Williams, Will Johnson Trade down: There are quite a few really good players that fit us at Edge, DT, S and WR mid to late 1st and high 2nd.  Some combos that would be possible that I really like.  Imagine getting 2 of these guys by trading down. Stark, Pierce Jr, Golden, Scourton, Grant, Emmanwori, Ezeiruaku, Umanmielen, Deone Walker, Harmon and this is just off the top of my head.
