I took my 15 year old, who's had his permit for about 6 months now, to this on Saturday and it was well worth it.  They teach them stuff you can't on public roads.

 

They have the class in different places, but we did it at the Zmax dragway in Concord.  They even let the parents drive parts of the course... very good course.
