Opinions: Was the last FG a wise call?

Fig yea it was the right call! I heard them talking about it on TV and how it might not be a wise call and I thought "wtf?!" Sure it could have got blocked but highly unlikely, and if it's missed then they are backed up deep in their own territory, all it would have took was a completed TD and 2 pt conversion and we are in OT. FG was a no brainer

It really wasn't close to being blocked.  Even if the defender high pointed it instead of coming down as the ball was kicked, he still wouldn't have touched it.  The announcers made it sound closer than it was.  Gano did a good job of kicking high, avoiding a potential block.

Definitely the right call.  No brainer.  And what the hell was up with the broadcast crew going on and on about how all one of our linemen needed to do was stand up and touch the guy who jumped the line.  They were yammering on while they were showing the replay of Norwell doing EXACTLY THAT, yet never once noticed it.

It didn't matter anyways.  It was a chip shot and Gano got tons of lift on the ball.  Very difficult to block in even the best of circumstances.

Up by 8 with under two minutes left. When I saw the replay of the kick and how close they came to blocking it (timing is everything), held my breath a bit. Why not go for it and run some more seconds off the clock? Defense was playing well and we had the running game working.  Was that a wise call?

I'm fine with it. Riverboat needs to stay Riverboat.  FG wins the game.  Not kicking gives them chance.

They could of always pull an Atlanta Nakumura.

Will not complain about Ron going for the win which is what the FG ensures.

What is more likely to happen?

Blocked FG that is returned for a touchdown.

or

Go for it on 4th down and fail and the other team go 90 yards in less then 30 sec with no time outs if I remember correctly.

I would have kicked it but it would not surprise me if the other decision was actually the better choice statistically.
