Running to set up the passing game has been a successful strategy in football for decades.....geesh

oh wow how did i not see this before thanks madhatter!

youre so right! The run game has longed been used to set up that crucial wide receiver reverse, which is the number one jobs of those perimeter players!

Please don't try and blame that 3rd int on Funchess.  That was a horribly thrown ball by Cam.  About 2 yards high and 5 yards wide.  Funchess did everything possible to make that catch.

The first int was not on Cam....the 2nd was a damn good play by the db....but the third was all on him.

But, to be able to win by double digits when giving up 3 to's shows this team's resiliency.....and I like it.

....definitely acknowledged Cam should have given him a more accurate pass.
However, Point blank a receiver will tell you if it hits his hands...both palms might I add, he should catch it.

And if anything that 2nd INT was a bad decision by Cam, too much risk, low reward even had his target caught it.

Well, coach Rivera disagrees with you/this!

He expressly said during his presser that the Ginn, and Funchess INT's weren't on Cam/his fault. And I agree with him. That ball went through Funchess's hand, and wasn't as "off" a throw as it may have appeared on certain angles. It was an NFL catch you see every week. Funchess, should have had it. You can't make every throw perfect, when there's a pass rush coming at you.

However, coach Rivera does agree the near half time side line throw/INT by Cam should have been put in his pocket. I agree with that as well, though it took a great play by the defender to make that happen.

Funchess has been frustrating, but it's not like it's a banner year for rookie WR's the way 2014 was, other than Cooper there's not really been any breakouts yet, like the rest, Funchess is a project, unfortunately unlike some of the others he doesn't have the benefit of learning in a perfect situation instead of trial by error, although it should help us in the long term

wait who said they wanted a top 5 pass offense?

ah okay its hyperbole to avoid a point, i see.

Man I'm not even gonna bother with your hate. You think any play that you haven't seen in the Manning and Gruden pass academy just isn't worth running.

Got news for you, were a winning football team making plays that 95% of teams in this league would love to be able to but can't and our 'terrible' receivers and OC are actually part of the success.
