Campfire Stories: Let's Hear Your Eagles Fans Encounters

As a former Eagle fan who lived outside of Philly for decades and rooted for them until I converted to being a Panther fan, I can tell you that there are a ton of reasoned positive Eagle fans.  The typical Eagles fans tend to be more blue collar than the fans at BOA which is a double edge sword. They are more passionate and at the same time more unprincipled. They are rabid fans and see football as a release from their often mundane lives.  They live and die eagles football and can be very over the top to opposing fans.  While I know that this was at BOA and most Eagle fans there are not from Philly, I noticed that in general the Eagle fans were more vocal and confrontative than many fan bases.  A lot like Dallas fans.

"Hit me with that towel again and see what happens" Lol threaten and disrespect some ladies around me that dude would have been seeing stars for weeks. I don't understand what makes people think they are the toughest beings on the planet must be the alcohol.

These women could handle themselves.  They were some country strong, southern women.  I hate the "text this number to report unruly fans" thing because I feel like it gets abused on people who are just being jolly and having a good time (albeit rambunctiously sometimes) but if he had made another move against them I was gonna use it.  Thankfully didn't have to.  Cam and the Defense shut him up.

Was face to face with a dude before I made it through the gate.

Walking to my seat I booed a couple dudes in Eagles jerseys, dude asked me if I had big enough balls to back it up, of course I didn't back down.

Then some lady was singing that pathetic "Fly Eagles Fly" song all game and trying to give me the business. But when we sacked Bradford on his own 3 yardline, she (and her husband) kindly asked me to chill out as I (without cursing) gave them a dose of Carolina smack talk. Had 4 dudes in front of me that flew in from Philly. Probably the nicest opposing fans I've ever met. Sure, we talked poo back and forth but they were classy dudes.

I just can't get over the fact that Brian Dawkins and Ricky Watters jerseys were all I saw. Guess Philly has cheap fans, won't even buy 2015 jerseys.

It's like counting the rings in a tree trunk to tell how old a tree is.  The era of the jersey indicates when the last time the PA resident was employed.

We had one across the aisle from us wearing a Sport Illustrated Eagles jacket from the 80/90's.  We gave him lots of poo and he took it fairly well and said 'wait until the 2nd half'.

We did, and we all saw what happened, and that dude practically RAN down the steps as soon as his knew it was a lost cause.  Took his fugly girl friend with him, thankfully.

Eagles fans reaffirmed that they're the worst in sports yesterday IMO.

Agree 100%.  We almost got into it in 529 in the 1st quarter.  fug those clowns coming into our house like assholes.  I ripped every loser that walked by me in a goddamn Vick jersey.  Surprised i didn't end up in a fight.  Ugliest group of fans i have encountered at the Bank and that's saying something.

Section 104 row 12 some eagle fan and his hideous woman got tossed out. I did the Eagles chant for them but added a B at the beginning

This was me. Well not the Eagles fan of course, but the guy standing up in front of them. Here's how it went down (and yes I created an account just to post this story.) Also, sorry for the language, just giving an accurate representation of the event:

Man and woman behind me were Eagles fans and got pissed about myself an my friend never sitting down. About halfway through the 2nd quarter, the lady snapped. She stood up behind me and started screaming "SIT DOWN" in this deep devilish voice for a good 2-3 minutes. It was bizarre. She had not said a word to either one of us the whole game before this moment. Security shows up and escorts her out and her husband out. 5 minutes later they're back in their seats. They make comments about how we can stand up so they can do whatever they want also. This time they just stand behind us and let everything in the book fly at us. Called us fags, gay boys, asked if we liked it up the ass, asked if we would sit down if there was a dildo in the seat,  asked if our mothers were proud (which I responded with "shes damn proud" and she hits back with "I hope shes dead"), the list goes on and on. Halfway through the 4th ish hit the fan and the guy beside them eventually swung at the guy. At that point they had shifted their focus to him and his fuse was short. Just pathetic pieces of trash.

Wow. Nothing like spending all that money to have to deal with trash like that all game.

Was banging on the empty seat to my right and this anal retentive middle age dad of a group looked like he almost wanted to start a fight w/me or have a heart attack,he said he paid for the damn seat!I could of asked for his ticket stub for proof but took the classy way out and banged on the seat in front of me,I win!

I would have told him that my tax dollars and PSL fee paid for the whole damn stadium.....so that trumps him paying for that ticket.  And would have commenced to bang on the seat the entire game.

I might not ALWAYS be the biggest asshole in the room....but I am fully capable of being that when I want to be.
