Campfire Stories: Let's Hear Your Eagles Fans Encounters

IM6mjxy.jpgI sat behind these 2 loud mouths at the game. Parkey was talking junk from minute 1.  Regurgitated "worst 5-0 team in the league"  out of his mouth the entire first half.  Loudly. Laughed HYSTERICALLY at Kurt Coleman when he was introduced and whenever he made a play and was just a general douche. They were dripping with arrogance for a couple of fans whose team never led. He and Ertz started talking junk to these 3 women sitting behind them (beside me).  Not joking trash talk. Serious trash talk.  During a towel wave on 3rd down one of the women hit Ertz with her towel accidentally and he said "hit me again with your towel and see what happens".  This post is for all those Eagles fans who made the win that much sweeter thanks to their asshatery. What's your story?

here they are with about 30 seconds left in the game, after the failed 4th down conversion.

EDIT: I forgot my favorite part of the story (besides watching these idiots realize they weren't going to win):  whenever someone near Parkey asked him to be respectful since he was in our house, Parkey would retort "yea but we took over your house."  Sure didn't seem that way when the Eagles offense was on the field, bud.

Went with my son and daughter- both grown. Some Eagle douche bag after standing and yelling all night got surly and pissed when we went up 24 to 16 and started threatening everybody around him for five rows in every direction. He looked about 28 and his girlfriend and parents were with him. His mother started yelling at him and shook him by the collar and told him to stop that crap. She was a Panther fan and apologized for her drunk son. It was hilarious the way she snatched him up and yelled at him.

LOL  if he was in my section I'd look at him like The Rock, and tell him to just bring it! Fug Philly. All I heard all night long was "we shot ourselves in the foot" well wtf ? What about losing Kelvin Benjamin ? Fug em ! Defense prevailed like I thought it would ! Go Panthers !

The Eagles fans that were near me actually weren't so bad

They'll be worse at games typically, especially in Philly but for the most part from what I've seen Eagles fans have a worse rep than they should have. I moved to Philly a few months ago and have been watching all the Panthers games there and they've been completely cool to me. Was in Boston for the game today and was able to watch the game with family at home instead of out at a bar in Philly so I can't comment on how they'd act while we're playing them. When I lived in Boston and we played the Pats the fans there were completely ridiculous. I hate those motherfugers more than anybody in the country. Yes, even Aints fans and Cowgirls fans. Can't wait until I can get to the Carolinas.

Went with my cousin (Panthers fan) and one of my friends (Eagles fan). My buddy was getting crap all night from the awesome folks in section 101 and took it like a champ. Very playful around us and we all had a great time. Some moron wearing a Cowboys jersey got tossed and was cursing up a storm as he was shown the door. He did nothing to dispel the stereotypes.

    • I don’t expect Hubbard to eclipse his play from last year. Glad he got paid. Hopefully he can stay healthy and dependable. You always need someone waiting in the wings.
    • Kind of bizarre Hubbard is already on the cusp of surpassing McCaffrey considering how comically overused he was at times here. As much as I'd like to see Hubbard get over 4k this season the priority should be offensive versatility. We have a nice RB room and it's a long season. Spread the ball around.
    • Thought this is pretty interesting - time can be a tricky one - it's crazy to really see the all-time Panthers rushing list.  You don't expect much in a 30ish year history (not saying this is impressive), but Chuba has quietly working his way up.     1) 7,318 yards - J Stew  2) 6,846 yards - DeAngelo Williams   3) 5,036 - Cam Newton this is where it gets interesting: 4) 3,980 - CMC 5) 3,336 - Deshaun Foster *6) 3,175 - Chuba Hubbard   If Chuba has a healthy season, we should expect him to easily climb into #4 on the all-time Panthers list.  I don't know for others, but Foster & CMC seemed like they were here longer than they were (or maybe they just played in more impressionable seasons and injury stints made the playing time seem longer).   I know it's not some impressive history or anything but a fun thing to note.  Also, if we make strides as a team, and he follows up with another strong year, he's probably got 2-3 more in him as he turns 26 next week.    Some questions:  Does another solid year cement him as our guy at RB? I prefer to keep taking late round stabs as you can cycle RBs, but he could prove to be a top RB this year.  I expect Rico & Etienne to help spell him, but he's our RB1 no doubt.   If we flirt with our first playoff berth in years, could a top-10 RB type season put him on the map as a more revered Panther?     He will be touching the ball the second most after Bryce this season, so it's not unrealistic to view him as our top skill position player (pending McMillan's hopeful rise as WR1).  It would be fun to see this actualize and make his mark more widely in the league.    Overall, just adding some perspective.  When you think of eras of Panthers teams, you usually think of a few guys.  And if we can finally crawl back to relevance, maybe Chuba is a guy we think of helped us get out of the rut rather than just being one of many that lived here in the cellar.
