I'm sure Hardy has plenty of people around him who tell him similar things about how he never does anything wrong and he's not to blame for any of his actions.

And that's probably a big reason why he is the way he is.

No where did I say that he is perfect or without fault...  But I don't think he is a woman beater, nor do I think he is the head case people paint him to be.   Imagine you are labeled a woman beater, scot, and suddenly you get thrown into the same group as a guy like ray rice and Ray mcdonald, knowing you didn't do it.   I'm pretty sure I'd live pissed off after that too.  

When he was here, up until the Holder crap, he did some youthfully stupid things (speeding, motorcycle crash, etc) but he always seemed like a pretty light-hearted guy with a food sense of humor, and a great deal of self-awareness when dealing with the media.  I think he has changed...   We didn't support him last year, made it clear we didn't want him back despite him being a hell of a football player and there still hasn't been proof he did anything he was accused of, and now he can't even talk to the media without having his football cliches without it being thrown back into his face.  It's ridiculous, and pretty sure if not handled correctly can make someone act out. 

 

And as a final aside, I think your assessment is way off base as aside from who is saying what here because IIRC, Hardy's father is a law enforcement official of some kind...  So I'm pretty sure he has people close to him that still hold him accountable.

he had some issues down at Ole Miss. They costed him being a top-10 Draft pick...all the way down to the 6th round. 

He led the SEC in sacks and TFL his sophomore season.
