I think you are misreading.  Funchess played at least 3 years of high school football, and three more years in college.  He has one year of experience at wide receiver.  Before that, he played tight end. 

Not reading anything. I'm going by what he's said in interviews.

Not only does Funchess have to learn the pro game, he also has to learn to catch passes from Cam, who apparently throws the ball hard.  I imagine that does take some getting use to.

He actually played 2 years of WR in high school. He switched from TE his junior year.

Why are people still using "he's a rookie" excuse, Amari Cooper is a rookie also, Stefon Diggs in one game already has more yards, catches and TD than Funchess.

 

He's underperforming and that's a fact. We are going to need him to step up in the upcoming games, especially in the playoffs. BTW WR is one of the easiest transition from college to pro

At least 3 years catching passes in High School, and 3 years in college.  He may not have a lot of experience playing receiver, but he as much experience catching passes as most rookie receivers do.
