Is there another team.....

That's because Bradford was/is terrible and they didn't have a legit running game.

if you watched the game you would remember how physical the game was. We were hitting big, getting after it, the Rams tried to answer back hitting hard and ended up getting penalized for it. Then their QB tore his acl.

The question wasn't whether they were a good team but a physical one. Jeff fisher teams always try to be physical but when they played us they lost that war with us. Plain and simple

it is popular this week to think that Denver has dropped to the bottom of the undefeated teams but that defense is for real.  The have the four F's...... Fast, Furious, Fysical and Friggin Smart

I don't care how Manning looks now, he will be better in December and January, he has weapons and the Defense will have them in position to play well into the playoffs

Interesting that this 6-0 team hasn't been named in this thread yet.

manning will progressively get worse as the season goes on. Even before surgery Peyton has been notoriously bad in cold weather. After surgery hasn't helped. He still has alot

of cold weather Denver games plus plays the Vikings and bears.

Manning and Denver won 6, lost 3 in Nov/Dec games in 2014.   In 2013 they won 6, lost 2

Yes, Manning has a history of failing in cold playoff games but don't discount what he has done in the regular season the last 2 years.

I spoke nothing about the Denver Broncos winning or losing in December. Specifically mannings play. Which has been getting worse dating back to the end of last season. He could play terrible and the Broncos still find ways to win cause of their defense. But if you think manning will magically return to his form from years ago you are sadly mistaken.

Sorry but I am confused.  Are you saying that the Bronco's have a great regular season record the past two seasons in cold weather in spite of  Manning?

It is easy to play connect the dots and discount what Manning can do.  But if Trent Friggin Dilfer can win a ring with a great defense I'm sure as hell not discounting Manning.

this. Rams tried to play that tough man game with us when we played them last and they lost... Badly.

They didn't lose because they weren't as physical. They handled our physicality but we were just the better/smarter team.

Denver's defense is amazing, but again..not smash mouth like us.  They're more finesse.  Us and the Jets are the only current great, smash mouth style defenses imo.

What part of Denver is finesse? They are very physical up front and that's what their LBs excel in. There DBs are skilled but are physical as well.

And the Steelers are pretty physical as well. Both on offense(esp with Ben out) and on particularly on D. That physicality helps their short comings (talent wise) on D.

    • Strange, every news article and tweet I just searched all mentioned waivers. It is definitely his sixth year of at least 6 games. All I was trying to think of earlier was at the vet min could he beat out Bryce in camp next year lol. He's kinda got the old Darnold issue where he can obviously launch deep balls and qb run at a level Bryce will never achieve, but it sounds like he would be content being like a Josh Allen backup who doesn't throw the whole game plan out the window if he has to come in for a series or two. If we had him and for some reason still wanted to start Bryce he would kinda do what Justin Fields was doing the other night with Dangeruss, coming in for designed runs and maybe some play action/triple option rpo things to go deep. That would be so obvious and sad though. At least Russ can still sling it 40 yards in the air with a flick of the wrist
    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
