Shout-out to Michael Oher

After watching the replay of Sunday's victory a few times I don't recall Oher giving up a single sack. That is very impressive against Seattle's speed rushers. And did anyone else notice the push he got off the line on Stew's 4th Q touchdown? Stew could've walked into the end zone. What a great job he has done filling a void for us on the left side. Yet another diamond in the rough uncovered by Gettleman.

3rd offensive play of the game Newton got blindsided.  One of the few true blindsides I have ever seen him take.

but now that you mention it...I don't recall much about Oher after that.  Which is good?

Well poo I must've not been paying attention if it was early in the game. I noticed he did a really nice job staying with his man on the 2nd and 19 play from the 50 and the Olsen TD. Once Cam got sacked for the loss of 9 I thought the game was over.

He definitely cleaned it up after that and his play Sunday is deserving of praise. Seattle has some really good pass rushers and he did his job.

Oher is good for about 1-3 bad plays a game where he gets beat but is very good the rest of the time which I can live with. In contrast to Bell who was good for about 8-15 bad plays per game. I'm very happy with what Oher has given us this year after being very disappointed in the signing in the offseason. Glad I was wrong about that.

better than bell which was all we asked for.

I'll take it.

This.  We knew we weren't getting an All-Pro LT in Oher, but he has been a significant upgrade from Byron Bell and that's what we needed.  I think he's been a pleasant surprise so far this season, especially after all the concerns when he looked Bell-esque early on in camp.
