Funny, we have a habit of doing the same thing with Stewart.. It is infuriating. Last game we actually go him going north/south behind the guards and look what happened.

But in the Shula thread some of the huddle experts said we run straight up the middle every time. I wish we could find some consistency in our complaining department

I consistently cant stand Shula, if that helps.

I see both happen but rarely from power set. I think either way (up the middle or side-to-side) the key is giving your power back momentum and some sort of hole to hit; Our shotgun runs aren't very conducive to doing this consistently. Too often they just allow the first contact to occur before Stewart can gain yards.. he seems to be trying hard but you can only get so many yards after contact.
