Won't be us though since 5-3 is far more likely than 18-0.

Carolina would've lost at Seattle on Sunday if the "Legion of Boom" had covered Greg Olsen in the final minute. The Panthers play the Eagles, Packers and Colts their next three games so 6-2 or 5-3 is far more realistic than 16-0.

The NFL went to a 16 game schedule in 1978.  Since 1978, there have only been two teams that reached the Super Bowl undefeated.  The chances of two teams pulling that off in the same season have to be astronomical and likely statistically irrelevant.

Also, when did the Eagles and Colts become good teams again?  I know everyone was on their jocks prior to the season starting, but since the season actually started both have proven to be middle of the road teams.  We should be favored over both of them.  I'd understand being considered an underdog to the Packers in GB, but going 0-3 or even 1-2 over the next three games would be a pretty big letdown.  Of course I'd be thrilled to be 8-0, but if we come out of the next three games 7-1 that'd still be an overall win.

Pretty much my thoughts.

Why doesn't Cam get more credit for that play, his eyes to the left side of the field was as much responsible for the blown coverage than anything. If we he would have stared down Greg he would have been covered.

Because that's something any average NFL QB should have done on the play and is probably what the play was designed to do. Staring down any receiver will have him covered. You can give Cam credit for every single play on the final two drives except the last one. That one was on the Seahawks and there is nothing wrong with that. Seattle blew some coverages against the Bengals too which led to some crucial TD's. No one is saying Dalton or the Bengals are bad because of it this year.

They aren't good but they are still very dangerous and capable of beating any team if things click for one game.

the real answer to your question is because it's Cam....TD pass=blown coverage, great scramble=selfish play on missed assignment shoulda checked it down, pin point throw in coverage=great catch by WR....

dropped pass that gets intercepted=horrible throw by cam trying to sling it in there.....

I just don't even try anymore

Cam should get total credit for that play.  After all when he threw the ball into the ground when he had a short pass to an open receiver in the endzone  or fumbled the ball inside the 5 to go ahead in previously years he got all the blame.  Seems it should cut both ways. I remember when we lost a game on the last play to Buffalo a few years ago on a blown coverage I dont remember everyone saying that it was our fault and Buffalo didnt do anything.  I remember eveyone crowing about how great Manuel was on that drive.  Same with Cam.  Besides, it wasnt as if that was the only play on that drive. He went 80 yards in less than 2 minutes with no timeouts. That kind of crap is all about people not wanting to give cam credit that he richly deserves.  Nothing more or less.
