Twelve days later, Beason stressed the importance of the Panthers obtaining a veteran player to help fill the void. Team officials skimmed the pool of available replacements and didn't find a player available who resembled Kemoeatu's overall quality.

I think this is one of the reasons I love Jon Beason. There are some guys that bitch and moan about not getting the ball thrown to them, or some that put the blame on others for their mistakes, and then there is someone like this that speaks and the whole organization listens to what he has to say, because he has earned everyone's respect both with his demeanor and his on-field play.
