It was possibly a lateral, couldn't hear the whistle (as mentioned in OP), and because Luke.

That was an obvious mistake by the refs.  They did not clearly blow the play dead.  Even when they realized players were still going through the motions.

Yeah, it's not like he punched him away. He placed his hand on Luke's face and was pushing him away. It would basically be impossible to get a concussion from that. You have to be a conspiracy theorist to think there was foul play with regards to his concussion on that play. He just wanted Luke to stop hugging him because he knew the play was dead.

The one play that DOES deserve a fine out of that game was the Seattle safety (Chancellor?) that used the crown of his helmet intentionally and directly into Kalil's chest.

Oh, and not fineable, but those refs let the Hawks get away with at least 2 face-guarding PI penalties yesterday.

Honestly, I think this was overblown too. Chancellor was going for the tackle and had his head positioned to the side of the ballcarrier. Kalil happened to be right beside the ballcarrier when the tackle was being made.

As much as the NFL has emphasized to "never hit with the crown of your helmet", sometimes accidents still happen.
