Question: Do you consider RIvera top tier HC?

Yes, Rome was not built over-night as the saying goes.  This franchise has the feel of late 90's - 00's Ravens.  Our defense is going to be solid for years to come, theoffense will leave something to be desired but it will get the job done.  The Ditka Bears mentality has been established!  Ron has been the constant in which brings consistency, the rock in the mist of turmoil, and has evolved in coaching from experience in understanding his rosters strengths to halftime adjustments to 'calculating' risks.  Look at his close game record over time, look at the respect he receives, and the tight ship he runs.  I would not trade him for anyone.  He still has room to grow but ultimately he will an all time great once he is done.  Toot toot mothafuggas!

an elite coach?  No.  Is he a good Coach?  Absolutely.  He has grown tremendously over the past few years, and this year his biggest improvement has not to fall into a conservative shell when in a comfortable position.  It seemed that the last 2 years, he only got aggressive when he was forced to, but he's rolling the dice more often now and it's paying off and showing confidence in his team.  I loved the decision to go for it on 4th down, but hated the play call.  All of that said, I think the combination between him and Gettleman is an elite combination of knowing what scheme you want and knowing what personnel fits that style.  Rivera can win a super bowl if he has the right personnel, and I believe that right now he just might.

I really don't think that enough credit is given to he and his staff's clock management during the "4-minute offense" touchdown and "2-minute offense" touchdown. Perfection.

Just about every judgement call that Rivera or one of his coordinators made yesterday was on point. Even to the doubt or dismay of the fans.

That's not to mention that he's had his guys up to play for his JOB like two to three times, and he's an impressive motivator and disciplinarian. He demands respect and I'm impressed by it. I'm impressed with who he is and how much he's grown.

Ron is a good coach and will be a key cog to a SB run for this team simply due to the culture of toughness he instills in the team, and the stout defenses he fields. That said, he is not a perfect coach by any stretch of the imagination. and i hope that as the seasons pass, he learns and changes his approach in certain areas. for now, i wont criticize him too much. He is 5-0 this season, and has brought the Carolinas unprecedented success already in his short tenure.

At this juncture in his tenure, do you feel that he has developed into a upper tier coach? He still seems to stick with older vets longer then he should to a fault. Other wise, he has build a tough and resilient team. Over coming the loss of key players is tough to do for any coach. Taking his body of work so far, what do you think?

Your responses will be wildly different after we lose by 1 point in a pre-season game to New England.

Rivera has done a great job building up the team but hats off the Gettleman for taking the talent base to the next level.  I think Gettleman deserves more credit than Rivera for this team honestly.  Since he showed up we've been good outside of like 8 games in 2014.

Honestly we'll find out how good a head coach Rivera is next season, regardless of how this season goes.  McDermott is going to be a HC somewhere next year and we'll see how much of that defense was McDermott.

Okay, since most of you have already consumed the KoolAid and quickly dismiss opinions and want to address facts:

1. 7 current Head Coaches have Super Bowl rings

2. 2 current Head Coaches have Super Bowl losses.

Ron Rivera has neither and therefore cannot be considered as inside the top 9 of a 32 team league. Top tier?
