Roman harper just can't seem to get benched or called out for his terrible play by the coaches.. what gives?? did fua give him the blackmail photos or something?

Didn't Josh Norman speak highly of him previously?  Chances are he does things we don't see on TV that keeps him on the field and not the bench.

 

He sure couldn't cover Graham though.

Blame the coach who had Roman Harper on Jimmy Graham. Every player has weaknesses.  The coaches job is to hide what can't be improved

he's decent in the box safety blitzing and playing the run but bad in coverage

I blame the coaching staff for leaving our worst coverage DB by far 1 on 1 against one of the best TE receiving threats in the league

Wasnt the main motivation for drafting Shaq being able to have him cover Graham? At least put Boston on him...

While I agree that he's horrible, he had a tough assignment, covering Graham, who'd be hard for anyone to cover 1 on 1, add to the fact that he had to cover for 3 seconds longer than usual because of Wilson running around.

 

But yeah, he sucks.

I was hoping to see them switch him for Jones just for the Graham match up. Outside of being Jimmy's bitch he played well.

Nah this isn't a new thing with harper.. he has been bad in many games with the panthers.. his first year here he was pretty decent had some picks but so far this year he has clearly regressed a bit with his speed and coverage skills..
