I don't think the original plan was frying pan into the fire with him.... Our hand was forced... While the beginning of the game was disappointing for him the end was hugely valuable... I'm sure he gets much love on the flight home. Big development game for him.

I rather for our WRs to drop the passes when the game isn't on the line and rather they catch them when we driving down in the last 1.50 seconds to win the game winning touchdown..

Funchess and Cotchery came through at the end..Cam is making them better no doubt because thats what a MVP do..Could Brady or Rogers do the same with the WR core we have..

I remember in one of their first games this season, Cam went to Philly on the sideline after a dropped catch and talked to him after our fans boo'ed him..thats my QB, even believing when our fans dont!

Between Funchess, Benjamin, Dickson, Ginn and Brown I'm starting to wonder if the FO intentionally goes after receiving threats that can't actually catch the ball

This is just Devin in general. He has very inconsistent hands. He has great size and can make huge plays, but he's always been able to drop some he should have had, and in some instances in this game, they nearly resulted in interceptions. You could say oh he caught them when they mattered most. I think you could also say, if he had not dropped any passes, we may not have needed the 4th quarter come back.

 

I like the kid and think he will do us quite a bit of good. I think he'll make some pretty big plays for our team at some point and I'm glad he's on our team.

Cam showed he is a true leader by continuing to give him a chance after how bad he looked earlier. To give him a shot in the clutch will build confidence for the young WR.

Cam had a poor game until the 4thQ just like Funch.  Granted, Cam has proven himself beyond just this game.  At least we can depend on Funch when the chips are down.

Cam put the ball where he had to on the ball Funchess dropped that was behind him. Had he put it in a better spot for Funchess it may have been picked. He will start to recognize some of these things as we are only five games in. Hopefully he will make better adjustments before the ball is thrown.

I imagine all the key drops and then the clutch catch will do wonders for his development. Beats practice any day.

well at least he has lot of time to improve he's only 21 years old it seems.
