Manziel in trouble (again)

...and it's potentially a little more serious this time (link)

According to newsnet5.com, Manziel was pulled over during an argument with his girlfriend, and he admitted to drinking.

The incident happened on Monday, when a witness called police after Manziel used the shoulder to pass the witness’ car at a high rate of speed. The witness said that Manziel and his girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, were arguing. Crowley, according to the witness, was trying to exit the car.

Police later stopped Manziel, and he and Crowley admitted to drinking earlier in the day. Police determined that the couple was not intoxicated.

According to the report, Crowley said Manziel had pushed her head into a window. Police reportedly noticed an abrasion on Crowley’s arm, but they later determined that the abrasion was from Manziel’s attempt to keep her from getting out of the vehicle while it was on the road.

Crowley did not want to press charges. Whether that’s enough to avoid an investigation and/or discipline from the league is a different issue. The Personal Conduct Policy as revised in 2014 disregards the decisions made by the criminal justice system, with the league conducting its own inquiry. The league’s new sensitivity to domestic violence likely means that an investigation will occur, given the allegation that Manziel pushed Crowley’s head into a window.

Does anybody use the term "lunkhead" anymore?  I definitely feel like it fits Manziel.

Still, hats off to Cleveland for hiring a dwarf quarterback. They may have overplayed for a backup, Johnny may be irresponsible, spoilt and even churlish, but it sends a powerful message to dwarves and midgets everywhere that they are welcome in the NFL, or at the very least, Cleveland. Times are tough since tossing was outlawed, but now that Johnny football is an nfl superstar, he can roll that prestige into a profitable ad campaign with Baby GAP, or Oshkosh begosh.

    • Remember when @CamWhoaaCam didn't bandwagon that team that was having a surprisingly good season?
    • You are hitting on all cylinders here my friend. I'm with you. 2016 was a very sobering season that realistically should have brought about a proper investment in developing another QB. My main concern with hiring Morgan aside from his role in our drafts with Fitterer was just how hellbent he might be on trying to salvage a trade and selection he was very much an integral part of. We'll just have to see how different he will ultimately be from our previous GM's. So far he's not exactly breaking any mold with the heavy investment in running back.
    • Remember when yall were writing off Russell Wilson?   Dude out here outscoring Joe Burrow. If he started all season he's probably in the MVP conversation.   Steelers Country Lets Ride!
