Blocked streets?

If this is the wrong place for this, just move it wherever it should be.

What time do they start blocking the streets around the stadium? I'm driving in Sunday AM, and staying at the Residence by the stadium Sunday night. They said I could park in the parking deck and just check in after the game, but I know they start blocking the streets early. Trying to figure what time to get there.

I don't think they block access to hotels from what I can remember. I think they block more traffic after the game.

I don't recall the streets ever being blocked either before, during or after a game. they may change the route of a lane or two to help traffic coming or going but you shouldn't have any worries of being blocked to where you want to go.

Yeah, I'll also go with nothing is blocked. Maybe a lane or two gets turned from two to one, but there is no out right shut down of a street that I recall.

Mint Steet between Stonewall and Morehead (underneath the I-277 bridge) is always closed, but I don't know the times.

The Residence Inn parking deck isn't blocked off really, just the right most lane is for turning into it only.

You can get in and out of that lot OK. Theres a special area for hotel guests, I'm not sure if you need to get a pass first or not for the hotel on game day - I park there as a monthly customer and we all have to vacate that deck by 4AM gameday until 2 hours after the game is over, and they are quite strict. No tailgating allowed there either, which kind of sucks as the top deck would be a neat place to set something up.
