My main point is our receivers aren't average Joe's. They are professionals that have made it this far for a reason. Yes, some of them have had terrible drops, but if they execute by runnings routes correctly and catching passes, that's all we need them to do. I agree with everything you said as far as the scheming goes, but I can't stand when guys like JawnyBlaze think our receivers are these talentless losers that have no chance to make plays every week. 

So are the defenders they are playing against.  They aren't playing against you or me, they're playing against other people who made it this far.  And comparing them to people who haven't made it this far is asinine.  You have to compare them within their realm, and in that comparison calling them average is a compliment.  If you think it is as black and white as you are trying to describe, then there is probably no hope for you.  The difference between mediocre, average and good players is in that IF.  IF they run the right routes and catch the passes.  IF they consistently made the catches, then they wouldn't mediocre or average.  They can't just decide "I think I'm going to actually catch the ball today."  They have to execute.  And they have to have talent to be able to execute.  They're playing against other people who have the talent to play in the NFL as well and are more able to execute their game plan.  And I never said our receivers have no chance to make plays every week.  Cam gives them many chances to make plays every week, and so far the plays they haven't made have outnumbered the plays they have and that's why our passing game is in the state it is in.

Do you not understand that if Billy-Bob Johnsons, UDFA out of Wichita St. were to get a start at receiver for us, that the only thing standing between him and 300 yd, 3 td performance is execution?

ANYONE is capable of executing, it is absolutely up to the player. This is why Ted Ginn has as many touchdowns as any receiver in the NFL this year. People may say "LOL look at Carolina and their #1 receiver Ted Ginn LOL losers", but Ginn has executed, put up better numbers than most receivers in this league, and helped us get to 4-0.

Whoever the hell we lineup at receiver has a chance to be great, as long as they choose to execute. It's really that fugging simple. 

This is one of the more ignorant posts I have ever read here.  Bravo on your accomplishment.  I actually thought this was sarcasm til I read your next post.

Off topic, but if you're a Lewis & Clark fan, there is an AWESOME book that just brings the history of their expedition alive.  Undaunted Courage by Stephen Ambrose.    Highly recommended

I cycled a good bit of the Lewis & Clark route this Summer.....at least the good parts in Montana and Idaho. There are tons of historical markers along the way. I became a bit of a nerd about them.
