CBS Picks for week 6

Well besides the record....

Seattle has looked like poo. And their new weaknesses play into our strengths.....

Same came be said for them, but they've lost two games on the road in OT and the other loss coming against the Packers who might be the best team in the NFC. They're a much better team than their record says they are.

It's very rare that any of these sites do unanimous picks. VERY RARE....

I hate bitching about the media but damn. We really need to go out there and let em know what's up.

And the idea of bulletin board to me is over played.... but damn if it really exists THIS should be enough to pump them up.

It's actually not rare at all, 49ers regular season game in 2013 was the same, everyone picked the 49ers and we win

It's tough for many reasons, namely that despite its record Seattle is still a good team.

But the biggest factor is jetlag. Carolina normally flies to games on Saturday afternoons. When they fly out this Saturday, they could still feel effects of jetlag the following day and for the next 2-3 weeks prior. That's why Seattle is a tough place to play and why only Arizona has had moderate success there in recent years (another PST team).

We have no idea how Carolina is going to respond to the jetlag. We do know that Jared Allen played there three weeks ago and hasn't been the same since.

It's tough going to a strange place, figuring out what hotel you want to stay at, the restaurants you want to eat at and the coffee you want to drink. Carolina's going to have to figure that out in a short period of time, and play a game against a good football team.

How has Jared Allen "not been the same since?" Did I miss something?

The Seahawks are the safe bet, especially for the media. It's a no lose to pick them. If they win, you win. If they lose, you get to write a story about 'what is wrong with Seattle?!'

after Sunday, the media will have to re-evaluate the perceptions of both teams.

Ok that was funny.

sweet.

Panthers are also 7.5 underdogs according to Vegas. I'm gonna jump all over that.

The difference between the OP subject and Vegas is that the betting line has nothing to do with who Vegas "thinks" is going to win a game, its merely a lever they use to get as many people as they can to BET on a game.
