I'm glad Kuechly is cleared, but I hope it's a true clearing and not a wink-wink deal kind of thing. The Seattle crowd will be loud and the last thing Carolina needs is its MLB getting headaches.

Apparently Jared Allen isn't at practice today. His loss would make more of an impact than Kuechly's gain, so I hope this isn't anything serious with Allen.

  Well....someone predicted that 15 would have a new account by lunch. They were dead on. Dude, you need to get a life.

I didn't mean it in the sense that Allen, at this point in his career is a better player than Kuechly. I don't think that's even a reasonable discussion. I just meant from the fact that Allen was expected to be fully conditioned by this point to be a reliable edge rusher we need while CJ recuperates. I would argue that the drop-off between Allen and Ealy is bigger than the drop-off between Kuechly and Klein, and I believe defensive end is a more important position, generally, than middle linebacker.

 

So while Kuechly, if he gets a good number of snaps, can definitely make a positive impact, I worry about the deficiencies of the pass rush if Jared Allen is out.

Because Jared Allen showed us so much potential in his first week here.......

Maybe I should've looked at stats before I complained about Luke's start. I just seem to remember a low PFF grade.

Wrong again.  It's really best just to avoid commenting on something altogether when you don't know what you're talking about.

In 31 snaps Luke logged a +2.0 grade and was one of the top graded players on the team that week... which is damn good considering such limited play.
