Josh Norman Moving Around

I firmly believe Seattle offense this week is to avoid Norman as much as possible

Which means they're planning on Norman to stay on one side because of their lack of true number 1 receiver

or

They plan on us putting Norman on Baldwin

I would start by putting Norman on Baldwin and then move Norman all around. To me it forces Wilson to read the defense and go away from his first option, cause lets be honest their offense is based on Wilson first read. If its not there R.W buy time with his legs until something opens

No team has avoided Norman.   Almost looks like they intentionally target him.

Must means when he isn't making plays he has some bad tape out there IMO.   Rivera referenced that too to a degree when people have acted like he is Deion.

No doubt he is making mistakes, everyone on the team is.  However right now id like him to keep doing whatever it is he his doing.  I just hope he does not lose his man or zone when wilson starts running all over the place.  Let delaire or shaq handle that.

I think seattle will go right after norman.

I hope they do. I will take Norman over any of their receivers all day.

If Wilson targets Norman like Bortles did week 1, Josh will make him his bitch and the game won't even be close. I think he'll be targeted early and often and get an early interception and then Wilson won't look his way again the entire rest of the game. Remember what happened last year in the end zone, Russ? Yeah that man is even better now.

Oh noes! I forgot.  No football talk.  Only fan talk allowed.

Ron even addressed it.  A lot of his big plays have come after blown assignments and teams looking to go back and cash in.   As long as he keeps learning and correcting (hence the big plays)....things will be fine.  But teams have looked his way so often for reasons thus far....he has made them pay b/c he hasn't repeated what they were looking at when thrown on.

acknowleding what even the coach will isn't hating

If I'm an opposing offense, I'm giving Norman double moves all day. Can't let him keep jumping hitches and curls. Josh is a gambler and will get fooled. Just like having a gunslinger at QB, you have to take the good with the bad. Josh seems to have more good than bad, though.

Teams have not been trying to actively target Josh as a part of their gameplan. The reason he's been targeted so much is because we've played 4 quarterbacks who should not be starting in this league, and they throw the ball to their safety valve guy (or their team's #1, who Josh is always on) when they need to make a decision. Take away all the "big plays" and he's still playing like an elite cornerback. It's easy to see for anybody who has eyes and a brain.

Post Rivera's exact comments before I comment on those. I have a sense you're bending them to fit your own narrative. Certainly wouldn't be the first time you've done something like that...
