Don't think it's going to happen. Unlike Petrino and Harbaugh, Chip Kelly never really liked politics of college football (boosters, NCAA rules, recruiting, etc.) and was happy to go.

If he is fired, he'll probably hold out to see if another NFL team will interview him for a head coaching job, if he garners no NFL HC interest, then he'll listen to all the colleges scrambling to nab him (definitely both USCs, maybe Texas if they jump the gun with Strong).

That's my opinion, anyway. Besides, the Eagles are only one game out of the lead with the NFC East being the garbage division this year. They'll still be in the thick of things by the time our game comes around.

I think he will return to college sooner rather than later. He could go to a big school and be a king for 20+ years or he can stay in the NFL where in the blink of an eye you're on the hot seat.
