Wasn't that his rookie year? Regardless Eli has become one of the most clutch playoff players of the 21st century. I'd rather be hosting at home with a first round bye.

In my opinion, this would be the easiest path to the NFC championship game.. I will take this scenario over a playoff bye and a harder team.. Keep that December momentum rolling right into WC weekend against the Giants, I think we would then beat the Falcons in round 2 and then off to the title game where anything can happen.

 

Also so you're saying you'd rather face the Giants and presumably the Falcons on the road to get to the NFCC game then to host only one of the Vikings/Cards/Falcons/Giants/Cowboys to get to it? That doesn't make any sense.

with such an early bye week, as great as it is to have it now, i am hoping we can earn a first round bye to rest up and gear up for whoever comes to Charlotte. 

WC is not going to be ideal this year. Panthers control their destiny for now though. just gotta focus on Seattle for right now.
