Walking Dead Season 6

JJman Returns

Makes sense, but the three of them aren't going to be riding Daryl's bike back...

I'm just playing devil's advocate.  It's got to be a safety in numbers thing.  I mean Sasha was going to go by herself but Bull Randleman just had to go with and you know Daryl ain't gonna ride in no Buick.  Not when he's got that sick rat bike.  If he's like anyone else I know with a motorcycle, they'll make any excuse to ride.

Well it kind of all goes back for me that the whole damn thing wasn't very well planned anyway...

Glenn would be pretty fortuitous to have fallen next to the only dumpster in the history of dumpsters that has 14" of ground clearance for him to slip underneath.

Well I guess luckily for him then there is indeed room to squeeze under.  I don't know if the dumpster is elevated or what (and they tried to hide this with vague shots), but there's one instance where you can see there's about a foot of clearing underneath.

That whole scene was just way too vague and loaded with "oh so THATS what happened, aha!" moments for him to survive.  Hell, literally right before that Michonne asks Dr. Dreads if he's ever been covered in so much blood that he couldn't tell if it was his own blood or a friends that was torn to pieces right in front of him.  That situation sounds oddly specific doesn't it?

Glenn and Nicholas are wearing basically identical gray t shirts.  Coincedence?  Maybe, but these coincedences etc. are starting to pile up.  You sure wouldn't be able to tell the shirts apart if, say, they were being ripped apart by zombies.

Glenn had absolutely 0 blood pouring out his mouth as he was supposedly being ripped apart and feasted on, which is a trademark of the show whenever someone gets ripped apart by zombies.

Glenn's death, for such a major character, would be bizarrely sudden and nonchalant for TWD standards (strictly TV show here, not comics).

Glenn didnt appear on the Talking Dead, which customarily has the major actors as guests after being killed off.

He's  still filming and still on set

And last but not least... this might be a bit of a reach depending on how much cheese you're willing to accept and whether or not you believe in karma, but waaaay back in the pilot episode when Glenn saves Rick from being pinned down by a herd and Rick asks why he risked his life to save him , Glenn responds that if he ever fuged up and found himself in a similar situation he hoped someone would do the same for him.  Being pinned down under a dumpster surrounded by a herd is pretty damn siimilar.  To top it all off he even referenced his "Hey dumbass" line to Rick in the last episode, which was his first words to Rick when he was in that similar situation.  Maybe this is how they introduce a new major character and new subplot?

So yeah, I'm almost willing to guaran-damn-tee he's under that 1 in a million dumpster.  In a world full of zombies and littered with inconsistency after inconsistency, it's really not that hard to believe.

Yeah, a couple of cars randomly parked woulda done it.

I just don't think the cars would have held up much better. It wasn't a very good idea, but it was something.  The other idea is that 2,000 walkers are a weapon.  They know there are people out there who would use the walkers as weapons, You could pile up the cars as easily as they could come up and put them in trailers.  So you have to get rid of them, some way.

RelaxImaPro made some excellent points about Glen's not death.  The one about the mouth blood, what did we see when each of the Alexandrians was chewed up?  Each time we saw blood running out of their mouths...yet none from Glen.  Spot on with the other allegorical references!

Over all, I don't think it was a great idea there to have Glen get trapped by the herd that way.  People will come back to living Glen and be upset, others will come back to living Glen and feel like it was some Deux Ex Machina BS!  Overall, not the best choice.  Instead, I'd rather have had that door open, Nick and Glen make it inside, and find a way to scramble on the roof.  Or allow Nicholas to do something else dumb to save Glen instead of just shooting himself in the head.  That would have been better received because it would still allow for Glen's scrappiness to save him instead of Deus Ex Machina Luck.

great points in this post, but this especially caught my attention as a new major character is debuting this season:

Jesus. I haven't read the comics but from what I've gathered Jesus is a zombie killing badass, nicknamed Jesus for his penchant for saving people. Could there be a more appropriate time to introduce a new good guy?

On the road going into the quarry (where the truck fell), just park a car sideways. Anything that tries to walk around would just fall right back in. Where the 2 trailers were angled, park 3-4 cars side by side in the crack. Walkers don't climb.

Then just start throwing firebombs in, eventually they'd all be cooked.

Jesus... saves?
But yes, Paul Monroe (aka Jesus) is a great character from the comics. I am a little concerned at the shots I have seen of the guy playing him, though... lol

Yea I don't see why they couldnt of just built walls around the quarry to keep them end. Seems like less work and a lot safer

why didn't they just distract the entire hoard to one spot and methodically, quietly, kill them from behind, with an easy escape plan if any turned around? They could have done this over a period of days, weeks, etc.

PLUS do you remember that one geek from Woodbury with the anti zombie suit?

No one's intestines are in their chest. The other dude fell on top of him.

Glenn is alive.

I realize this is a zombie world so all real world logic can't apply....but even if that dude falls on top of Glenn, Glenn should die.  Heck, Glenn should of been crowd surfing those zombies b/c there are a hundred surrounding him. Glenn still is exposed.  Arms, legs, head....lots of tasty parts right in reach of countless zombies.

Walking Dead gotta be careful with this one.  I mean if people are gonna get invincible pixie dust on them and therefore can survive setups where they simply shouldn't be able to then the show will definitely lose something IMO.
