Walking Dead Season 6

JJman Returns

Recommended Posts

Yeah its a bad business decision getting in the way of a good story not the other way around. Things like this have been known to derail shows, but to be honest this show is going to be on the air and popular a lot longer than most of its contemporaries.

Anyways there's probably at least one radio equipped spy outside the Alexandria gates watching whats going on - they also may have known about Carol leaving as she was going, and sent those guys out to see what she was up to.

I mean, the episode as a whole... How does the writer's meeting even go for that?

Gimple: Okay guys, I have this killer idea. We've got a 90 minute time slot and we are gonna finally show everyone Negan. We know how he is introduced in the comics, and we want to mirror that as closely as possible.

Some dude: But wait, how are we going to fill 90 minutes with Negan stuff? We still have to close the holes of what happened to Daryl in the previous episode... Carol and Morgan... etc.

Gimple: True... hmm. How about this. We have back and forth shots the whole episode, of Carol and Morgan's arc intertwined with Rick's group doing something before they meet Negan.

Some dude: Like what?

Gimple: I dunno... just have them drive around in circles for some reason or something.

Some dude: done!

Some other dude: What about Daryl and the other people that were captured?

Gimple: How about we leave a couple clues on some random walkers chained together on some random road that Rick's group is bound to run into? Not for any reason other than to shake them up a bit before we meet the big guy.

Some other dude: done!

Gimple: any other questions?

Nicotero: Can I direct this episode?

Gimple: Sure Greg!

Nicotero: So who is Negan going to kill off in the final moments?

Gimple: Let's not do that yet. Let's close the story on this chapter and use that to start a new one.

Nicotero and the rest of the room: Huh?

Gimple: Yeah, let's let the audience wonder for months on end. We can be like Lost and Game of Thrones. Killer stuff man. What's for lunch?

Rest of the room: *puzzled looks*

Can confirm: This is the exact transcript from the writer's meeting.

Side note for comic guys...where was Jesus during all this? Just chilling back at Hilltop?

And still not understanding the Daryl blood splatter from the last episode that went unexplained (I maybe probably missed something)

IIRC Jesus was at the Hilltop, which is where he lives. I think he's been there since the group left with the RV full of supplies and the promise to deal with Negan.

I think what was implied was that Daryl was shot in the shoulder. I'm not sure how both his hands were covered in blood from being shot in the shoulder (kinda hard to explain him holding his injured shoulder with the hand on the same arm) but I don't really expect much on things like that anymore.

Also, this morning this episode had like a 6.2 on IMDB when I checked. It is now a 6.0 with over 5,000 user ratings.

It will likely be the lowest rated of all episodes when all is said and done.

Think about that, and think about some of the bad episodes we have experienced before.

TURRIBLE

There is slowed down audio out that seems to confirm who got the bat

after the first hit by Negan, you can hear "Mag--" presumably from Glenn. Then it sounds like Maggie screaming "Glenn!" a few times, as well as Daryl saying "hold on" and Carl screaming "No!", amongst other screams

Has anyone even attempted to answer the question of how the Saviors knew that Rick and Co would be traveling to Hilltop so they could setup all those roadblocks?  I mean that would've have taken days of planning and coordination... or were they just planning on sitting and waiting for them for whenever the next trip was?

At the second or third roadblock I started wondering to myself "how do they know Rick is going to the Hilltop."  Then the ending happened and I realized that the Saviors seemingly psychic abilities were somehow the best part of the episode.

Saw a theory that Enid is with the Saviors and poisoned Maggie, which would explain how the Saviors knew they would be coming through.

My fiance actually joked last night that it was the pickles lol.

Honestly, IF, and that's a huge IF, they do that, they will redeem themselves a little.  Although they don't really owe us that explanation. They don't really owe us anything that's why they keep doing these "gotcha" moments.  They're just playing with us.

I saw that posted and went and listened too... But I think, at this point, our ears are hearing what we want to hear...

I would have wagered a good bit that I heard Daryl's voice say "That ain't nothin' after the initial hit when the audio leaked. I even went back and listened several times.

The ONLY good they could have possibly thought would come from this was that people are talking about it. But that is going to cool down REALLY fast once FTWD and GoT come back...

And as  mentioned earlier, we're going to know who was killed when they aren't on the set when filming begins in May.

Here's a crazy thought I had:

There's been somewhat of a war between TWD/A&E producers and TWD Spoiler sites.

Maybe Gimple could foresee the victim being spoiled in May, and he wants to use that as an excuse to say, "See! The spoilers are ruining the show for you!".
