Walking Dead Season 6

JJman Returns

What a brutal episode, I can't believe they get this on TV.  Carol was a beast and Morgan is super annoying.  Carl actually wasn't stupid and manned up, so props, just needs a hair cut.

Did anyone notice the guy at the end recognized Morgan?  Did he run with these guys?  I'm not sure, but they are kind of ruining the character was cool in the comics.

Not sure where Rick was, unless they got stuck fighting more wolves or what.   Shooting those flares out should get him immediately fired as Ricktator though lol.

One thing is for sure, Carol's housewife act is up now lol.

There were two wolves that recognized Morgan, and they were the ones that tried to get him at his camp before he found Alexandria... He left them in the car...

Morgan's character is starting to annoy the piss out of me, tbqh.

A. He was clearly too far gone in the episode "Clear" when Rick, Michonne, and Carl found him. Now he's some quasi pacifist staff wielding monk with a straight moral compass?

B. Did he really say he learned his staff skills from a cheese maker? Please tell me I misheard...

C. He just ran super fast back to town when he heard the horn, leaving everyone else in his dust?

I'm sorry, AMC... but I am a smarter viewer than to really accept all the above without bringing it up.

On the brighter side... The intro scene for the wolves' attack was legit. Totally unexpected when Carol's looking out the window at that woman.

Denise is kind of annoying so far, and I guess comic Holly will stay comic Holly...

This season, so far, is okay. It isn't amazing or anything, but maybe it will get better.

Looks like they're starting back with the "split" episodes... one with Rick's group and one with Carol's group in the town... not my favorite way for them to do it honestly...

Probably going to show next week how Morgan got split up from Rick and he got back to the town and Rick didn't yet.

God those Alexandria people are so annoying... they're going a bit far imo to show how inept and scared they are.  If not for Carol they'd all be dead for sure.  ...and I agree Bronn, Morgan needs to gtfo with that save everyone mentality...  and he did a little when he finally killed the dude in the house.

A good episode, but some of the plot devices they continue to use over and over are beyond old.

I was talking with a friend about it and he recalled Rick sending Morgan back after he offed Carter, to let the town know what was happening with the herd... because remember they weren't going out there to move the herd yet, and had to out of necessity... so the town folk were probably going to be getting antsy not knowing what was keeping them.

That makes a little more sense.

Also, I am not 100% convinced Morgan killed the wolf in the house... He could have held him captive or something to get info... They didn't show him actually killing the guy IIRC.

I just assumed he killed him due to the "I'm sorry" comment...

This is what happened. Rick sent Morgan back before the rest of the group telling him "can you do this for me". I don't recall exactly what it was, though. The rest of the group isn't far behind or will possibly be delayed with the noise distraction of the herd.

Jesse's character interested me this episode, her past mostly. I think we know her husband was abusive but not to what extent. For instance when she was talking to her younger boy and got interrupted by one of the wolves coming into the house they both fled upstairs and locked themselves in the closet. What struck me was the deadbolt on the inside of the closet indicating to me that her, her son, or both have hidden in there before.

When she was having a conversation with her teen angst son Ron she asked him to lift his left arm over his head, and he couldn't. She asked him to tell her why he wouldn't, and he refused. Another sign of abuse.

Then when she was having her melee with one of the wolves downstairs she faked getting knocked out. Feigned unconsciousness where she then got up, grabbed the nearest weapon and proceeded to induce a pent up rage of scissor murder. This seems to me an act she has learned to use from her now dead husband abusiveness.

The entire invasion by the wolves was 45 min long according to the timer Carrol set in the beginning of the show.

I thought from the beginning there was a mole from the wolves already in Alexandria and I am quite certain it was the girl Carl is crushing on. The whole thing where they were in the house and sitting back to back she has a knife in her hand. When he first turned his back to sit you could see her pull out the knife, he never saw her remove the knife due to his back being turned to her and she held it in her hand all the while. And also what she was about to say before he interrupted her mid sentence. Something along the lines of "that's how we were able..." and then Carl interrupted. I think she was originally there to kill Carl.

As Carl was sitting down.

And then of course there is Carol.

I do not think that she is a mole at all.

1) The thing that originally got the Wolves interested in Alexandria was the pictures in the backpack.  She had already been in Alexandria for awhile before they found the backpack.

2) She had all of those keys, if she was a mole she would have gotten into the armory and given them some guns on one of her many explorations.

3) The best time for the Wolves to attack would have been when all the best fighters were gone.  That is what they did but it was totally by accident.  They were supposed to do the long walk with the walkers the next day so a mole would have told them that tomorrow was the time to attack

4) She said "there's too many blind spots, that's how we were able..."  By "we" I figured she meant Carl and herself as they had left through the blind spots many times.

I think it is more likely that she and her parents were orignally in a similar civilization that had been overrun, maybe by the wolves, maybe by walkers, maybe by someone else.  Like Bob in his original groups, she was the only survivor.  That is why she never felt comfortable/safe there and was constantly exploring, probably looking for the safest escape route.  She recognized the same weaknesses there.  When the attack started she chose to flee so that she could survive but wanted to say goodbye to Carl first because it was the one connection she had had since the death of her parents.

One thing that I was curious about was if her parents closed the car door and sacrificed themselves to distract the walkers and their final words to her were "just survive somehow."  Or maybe (but less likely to me) she already lived by that moniker and actually closed the door on them.

I do think that there is a good chance that Carl, and maybe other characters become suspicious of her now that she is gone however but I think that ultimately it is a way of throwing the audience, and perhaps the characters, off.  It would also complicate a possible reunion.

This could be possible as well. But something just doesn't sit right with me in regards to her.
