Why has no one brought up how silly it was that Carol took out all those guys with some inaccurate SMG under her coat, without even aiming?  Did anyone else laugh at this?

Show has been better this second half for sure, but posters are right, these people are acting completely stupid.   They pulled off an execution of tons of Saviors and then go home only to continue doing the dumbest of things.

Would anyone seriously let your doctor/medical person EVER leave the walls of your base?   Nope.

Well I think Rick is purely overconfident.  He believes he and his group are the Alpha of this world.  That is can do and stop anyone and now has molded Alexandria into a self sufficient place to defend itself.   Which he likely does have some reasoning to believe that.  But I think Rick's current foolishness is justified.   I think there is reasons for him to be foolishly overconfident in his actions.  No reason really for him to think his group has to worry about "Negan" as anything more than a "wolf" or whoever else they stumble across.  With relative ease the kill count is 50 something dead Savors vs 1 chick who had never even been outside the walls.   Why would Rick worry THAT much about "Negan"?  Rick probably hopes he shows up at Alexandria....if he exists.  Our radar of Negan's threat vs what Rick's should be....aren't the same currently.  Really shouldn't be.

Denise isn't really a doctor.  As she admits, she just makes stuff up on the fly attempting to be that person.  But yeah, still.....if she is training to be that role and you count her in for it... you don't let her leave.

I'm growing tired for the Carol show.

That was really annoying.  I got over it because the character was more annoying and she died; but yeah, that was pretty absurd.

Carol's logic is seriously flawed. She can't bring herself to kill to protect her loved ones anymore, so she sets out into the world where she knows she'll have to kill twice as much to stay alive. This is proven when she kills 6 people within 10 minutes.

This is my problem with it is that it just seems like lazy writing to setup the plot they're going for.  If Carol didn't want to kill, the logical thing for her to do is hunker down in Alexandria and tell the others she would help them however she could, but wouldn't fight or kill for them anymore.  Certainly wouldn't guarantee she wouldn't have to at some point, but going out on her own (with an automatic weapon that she obviously assumed she'd need for protection) was the exact opposite of what someone who didn't want to kill anymore would do.  Sure, sure... I get it, people in distress don't always act logically, but regardless of her mental state, Carol's been out in this world alone so she of all people would know this.

I like the show, I like that Rick has become an egotistical, almost blood thirsty maniac and decided he will do whatever he has to to protect his people... but it's like @Cary Kollins said, all of a sudden they all came down with the dumb... I think it's just the show runner and his writers being a bit lazy with the story to get the plot they want.  How many weeks in a row is it now that a group of Saviors has captured a group of Alexandrians?  3? 4?  It's kind of like the driving thing early in the show... stop re-using  the same plot devices over and over guys...

You are correct about Rick not having much of a reason to fear Negan/Saviors. Really, they have not been all that impressive at all.  Every time they seem to get Rick's group trapped and outnumbered it is the Saviors and not our group that takes it on the chin.

They admittedly beat the poo out of someone to instill fear and they get what they want.  They also have large numbers and are incredibly armed and seem to live off the fear of others.  Rick probably sees them as a bunch of bullies that are not use to someone standing up to them while believing that his battle tested group is more than up for the task.  There has really been nothing to this point to suggest otherwise.

I am interested in that guy looking for his horse.  Whether or not that is true I do not know but I doubt he is a Savior.  They do not seem like the type of people that would be running around by themselves.  Rick said it was a Hilltop spear so I guess it could be one of their people, but I am not sure that makes much sense.  I guess he could be out there one his own but then how did he get the spear?

The other option is that he is from yet another group that trades with Hilltop.  Jesus seemed to imply there were many more with his "your world is about to get a lot bigger" comment.  If it is another group I wonder if they have had any success against the Saviors, are under their thumb the way Hilltop is, or have no clue who they are whatsoever.

If you want potential spoilage, here is my theory...

Based on what I have read happens this week, and the guy in the barn's appearance from last week, I'm almost 100% positive this guy is from a place called "The Kingdom." It is another community nearby that indeed trades with Hilltop and indeed gives half their poo to Negan. Ultimately, they are allies with Alexandria and Hilltop, and none of them like having to cater to Negan's demands.

They run around in home made armor and wield primitive weapons like the Hilltop due to lack of ammo, and they talk like they are from Game of Thrones.

Just a few more days. Here's a recent interview with Norman Reedus (Daryl):

THR: Negan is coming in the season six finale. How would you describe his first entrance?

That episode is the most hardcore episode you've ever seen on the show. Ever. And it's so well directed [by exec producer Greg Nicotero] and it's so well played out. And so terrifying. It's so good. A lot of effort went into making that the best episode we've ever shot on this show.
THR: Does the season finale pick up immediately where this episode leaves off?

All the episodes do, until we end [this season]. It's super shocking and it's pretty hardcore. Andy said he was late for work because he read it all night; Josh said he threw the script; Lauren threw up. It's gnarly. I was instantly curious. I had ideas what would happen and it made you feel sick and it was painful.

My biggest question is- if Negans guys know all about Alexandria, why had they never visited?

My guess is the Saviors haven't really been located near them.  Maybe their base is a good bit away and have slowly been expanding out and finding people.

Once they encountered Rick's people they began searching the area for their base.  Given the fact Rick's group has punched them on the mouth over and over outside Alexandria....the Saviors likely know they need to scout them out before just showing up and knocking

But they knew it was called Alexandria.....

There is a signage advertising the homes that has been shown and a billboard.  I think it even has an arrow pointing out the direction.  Then outside the main gate there is a sign with the name.  Alexandria was the name of the community before the zombie invasion.

so if you found Alexandria it was labeled on your way to it if you took certain roads and labeled on the gate
