Walking Dead Season 6

JJman Returns

Recommended Posts

I thought last night's episode was another good one. I'm torn on the ending, though... I hope he got shot in the face and it is over but according to the finale spoilers that isn't likely... But, if the do something similar again next week, and leave us hanging for 6+ months as reported, then it is going to be hella lame.

I'm not sure I am trusting the finale spoilers as much right now though, because

there is something about Glenn being with the RV group, and Daryl and Michonne being brought out as captives. So Glenn somehow escapes or is let go, magically gets back with the RV group taking Maggie to get medical help, and is recaptured by the Saviors? lol... nice try...

Also, where does Rosita go, as she was with Daryl when Dwight's crew shows up?

If you want to know more "details" for next week, here's what I read...

Morgan finds the guy from the barn's horse and rides him around.

The guy Carol didn't kill from the ambush tracks her down and shoots her a few times. Before he finishes her off, Morgan shows up. He tries to talk the guy out of what he's about to do, but the guy refuses to listen, so Morgan breaks his own ways and kills the guy. He pleads with Carol to come back with him, but she doesn't want to. At the end of their arc, some other armored guys show up (with the guy from the barn) and offer to help them, and Morgan and Carol leave with them. That's the last we see of them.

The rest of the stuff is what rodeo posted. At this point, I think they are intentionally throwing us off on the Negan stuff while giving us legit info like the Carol/Morgan stuff. I really hope that is the case.

Why not just keep the story going? Why end it?

From a technical aspect, they have already admitted the main initial zombie wave has a shelf life.   So the zombies naturally will slowly deteriorate.  So eventually you won't have hordes of them.  Just the recently dead which won't be in large numbers

The interesting thing to me about TWD (in the show and the comic) is the survival aspect and the societal breakdown and deterioration, paired with the desire to rebuild. That is really what drives the show. The walkers are just the lurking threat.

Pretty much it is likened to reading nautical fiction and knowing there is always the threat of a storm out there to interfere with the actual plot.

edge of my seat most of the episode. The stuff with Carol was just the best and that was what was unexpected to me. When those guys were driving down the road at Carol and shes hoping they will just go by was done really really well. The interaction with the Saviors in the truck and the setup with Rick and Morgan was fascinating.

In comparison the others situation seemed almost preordained - not that it was not exciting to watch, but once they all were out of the gates it seemed like that was what was going to happen.

I think the someone in the love montage to open the episode dies this week thanks to Lucille.  The montage had a lot of weird sympolisms in it which IMO marked those characters.  That makes the wounded Daryl safe.  I think the show is building a unique Daryl/Dwight story line that will play out....so that plus the fact he is wounded saves him from a finale death.

Side note, they have done a great job with the Carol character but the show IMO is too Carol heavy at this point.

Is it just me or are the characters acting really stupid lately. Like, you know Alexandria is going to be attacked at any moment, yet they all decide to split up, which is Rule No. 1 in horror movies: DONT SPLIT UP.

That's one of the things i could nit pick.  Also going out and running into bad folks more than good or gas still being good. But alas. It's a tv show about a comic.

Why has no one brought up how silly it was that Carol took out all those guys with some inaccurate SMG under her coat, without even aiming?  Did anyone else laugh at this?

Show has been better this second half for sure, but posters are right, these people are acting completely stupid.   They pulled off an execution of tons of Saviors and then go home only to continue doing the dumbest of things.

Would anyone seriously let your doctor/medical person EVER leave the walls of your base?   Nope.

they all left to get Carol and Daryl back because they needed them. I think the idea was to get them back ASAP to be ready for whatever, but they ended up not being able to do that.

BTW I loved Carols car with the terrible sounding engine and all the poles sticking out of it, made it what, 10 miles or less? lol
