Walking Dead Season 6

JJman Returns

In general, I hate cliffhangers.  They are nothing more than a lazy way to manipulate the audience into coming back when the new season starts, but they also leave a very unsatisfied taste in your mouth.  As such, for any successful show still on a high, cliffhangers are unnecessary and disrespectful to the audience since they will be coming back anyway.  To me, ending the season with a tease of a coming conflict is enough drama to get fans excited and impatient for the new season to start.   No need to force an unresolved situation just to make fans have to tune in to the season premiere to find out what happens.

I cannot imagine it is that.  They would really risk losing people (myself included).  End of the seventh episode...maybe, but not as a cliffhanger.

From the things the cast said though about it being their worst day filming ever and stuff it does not really make sense that it actually plays out that way.

The spoiler for the first half finale actually gave away that episode AND the premiere   for the 2nd half of this season.   So even though the first half ended with a cliffhanger of them leaving the house with Sam talking.....they didn't quit filming where the TV was choosing to end footage....

So when cliffhangers come into play the cast likely has filmed the rest of the scene even if it sat on.

Continuity is important in scenes.  Carl's character doesn't allow certain cliffhangers IMO.   If he films after a break he is a different person

This is a good point.  But it is hard enough to keep a major death under wraps for so long, would they want to risk it for another six months?

Apparently they've shot Negans scenes in multiple versions. Ones with him cussing and ones without. Not out of the realm of possibility they shot an anti spoiler version to give to media screeners as to not spoil the finale while saving the real ending for the premiere. That's the theory I'm going with because I don't see the point of leaving it on a cliff hanger. The cons outweigh the pros of such a scenario.

This finale would be their red wedding equivalent. Would they really sully their moment like that for no apparent upside? I can't buy that they'd be that stupid. The fan blow back would be a crazy negative compared to the while emotional but still positive reaction if they stay true to the comics.

They're not going to be stupid. I'm not worried about that spoiler being true.

We are talking about the people who had Glenn hide under a dumpster and when called on it being utter garbage....merely claimed people loved it and the outrage was a fake creation by media

So how many seasons does the show go?

This has been a surprisingly good season and yeah i could nit pick but I won't.

But i think 2 at most to find the end. I kinda like Fear TWbecause it's scratching the macro itch to see the scope of the virus.

Lately it's getting too formulamatic with the tension and the next "boss"/villian and the conflict.  Hard to throw a major curve with respect to the comic.
